ESPN probably intentionally gave him it with their highly contagious microphones in his face. Now to make David Blaine explain how this goes down all for the glory of the against the odds story.

More likely he'll play, and expose all the Spurs players to it, and they'll come down with it just in time for Game 5.

He'll play, have a subpar game (by his recent standards) and the Spurs will get little credit by trolls for the win tonight. I think that's the more likely unfolding of events. :lol

Tom Orsborn: Utah's Williams a game-time decision
SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah Jazz spokesperson said guard Deron Williams' participation in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals tonight will be a game-time decision.

Williams, who scored 31 points in Utah's blowout victory over the Spurs in Game 3 Saturday, missed practice Sunday with stomach flu. Williams attended Monday morning's shootaround, but did not participate.

"He looked pretty good,"' Utah forward Matt Harpring said. "I think he is going to play

Its a ploy. He'll come out and play like usual and the media will go wild about his heroic effort when the whole sickness orginated from a hangover. It's funny that basketball players bet the flu or stomach virus at a higher rate than any nursing home in America. That is because every hangover is the flu.

Put a cork in it. Take some fucking Pepto. Drink some Gatorade to hydrate. Wasn't he sick yesterday? He should have started a course of Acidophilus bacterium tabs. That'll cork you up.

If he doesn't play, this will go down in playoff history with Pippin's infamous "headaches" every time the Bulls played the Pistons in the 80s.

Well there is a nasty flu going around in AZ. My kids are getting over it, and I feel horrible today. The only time I threw up was after changing a diaper that looked like an explosion. If DWill has this bug, he will be wiped out. But as others have posted already, his illness is probably being hyped.

He'll play. I don't buy this game time decision stuff. They'll pump him up so full of Imodum that he will go.

It is mind game , William will play. usually spurs will not play good when opposing team best player not playing. I am worried that spurs may loose this game.

This is like the time Stockton "got injured in practice and was a game time decision" and then went out and played his best game of the series.

If Williams really was sick, the Jazz would have covered it up. This is a play to get the crowd even more wild.

GrandeDavid

You got that right. Smart tactic, too. Going to the "we are David" card all along, and reinforced by the media at large...and now to counter a Spurs team with wounded pride after Game 3, DW is now...ill. Yeah, right. Matters are even more difficult for the Jazz because of this illnes, so win tonight and the Jazz are heroic. Exactly right, L.J.

Go ahead and cue the "courage, heart, miraculous, etc." storyline for the rest of the night. I'm sure Popovich and the players don't buy this crap for a second.

I want to see him break out the hot water bottle on the sidelines.
