I'd say it'll be Detroit, but honestly I'd want Cleveland just for something different and to beat Lebron while everyone will be hyping him and the Cavs.

The Jazz on Wednesday.

The Jazz on Wednesday.

Ok, my badd. I know I'm jumping the gun so let me correct myself. If we win on wednesday and close the series out, who would you rather face in the Finals?

Whoever. But let's see them take care of business on Wednesday first.

I'd like to play the Cavs because it'd be fun putting 'Bron in his place, but we'll be playing Detroit (after we get through with Utah).

If and when we get past the Jazz, I'd prefer the Pistons because it would be much more interesting than LeBron running in circles and then bricking a shot or passing to a teammate for a brick.

Cleveland and it's not even close.

well... look at it this way.... in our meetings with each of these teams this season(2 each), the cavs have beat us both times and we beat the pistons both times.... So as much as i'd like to play the cavs, for the challenge, I want the rings more, so I'd say detroit

I want to take out all Brazilians in this championship run.

1st: Denver with Nene
2nd: Phoenix with Barbosa
3rd: Utah with Araujo
4rd: Cleveland with Varejao

I see it as our lucky charm :wakeup

I think the Spurs would have a tough, low-scoring series with either East team. I think the Spurs actually might have a slightly better chance versus a Flip Saunders-coached Pistons team then against a team coached by Mike Brown and Hank Egan.

How about the theory that the Spurs only lose those they can afford to?

I'd say that is somewhere between theory and fact.

Which is why I expect RC to be packing up the UHaul for a trip west while Presti moves 'down the hall' or whatever.

I rather play agaisnt Detroit than Cleveland. Detroit is the better team but Cleveland is really a bad matchup for Spurs.

First, Wednesday. I don't want that Spurs go back to Utah this year.

Cavs for the ratings since everyone is up on Bron's nuts.

Detroit.

Spurs do not matchup at all with Cleveland and are 0-2 against them this year.

I want the best team out of the east, that is all.

Seriously, I hoped that the Heat would have made it. It would have been nice to dispatch the NBA Champion on the way to a Title... again.

But since that is not an option:

Pistons: Not the same team as in 2005. Not even close. Those expecting a repeat of the 2005 Finals will be disappointed. I suspect the Spurs could close out the Pistons in 5 (as long as Spurs didn't play down to their level).

Cavs: This would be the better series, I think. They're a good team (they could easily be 3-0 against Detroit right now).

In the end, we'll play who we play. And win. :smokin

Cavs are toast. It will be 3-1 after tonight. This has been an ugly series and I really haven't been impressed with either team.

Who would ever have thought back in September that it would be a Spurs/Pistons rematch in the finals?

and before I get smacked for assuming that the Spurs are coming out of the west, who REALLY thinks Utah is gonna win three straight games with two at the SBC?

Not me. I'll pull a SAS and say this series is OVER.

(and who the hell cares what a bunch of geeks on their computers think anyway? All these rituals and superstitions... are we living in the dark ages or something? It makes NO difference to the Spurs what you do. Winning or losing is all on them, not us.)

my only fear with playing james is he gets away with everything
spurs would own the cavs
they would let james get his and shut down everyone else
then we would hear how great he is

detroit
the cavs are not good enough
they're here because they were lucky to play the wizards and the nets

I really do want to play DET agian. I readily admit being stuck in 2005. It was fun, I wanst a repeat. :)

Frankly, given the season record, I don't want to face any team that pushed it's way back from a 2-0 deficit and won without homecourt against the Pistons.

Detriot, all the way.

Plus, then, if we make it there, and we beat them, I can shut the new guy up. He thinks he's a Pistons fan, and keeps telling me that the Spurs are a dirty team.

Spurs dont match up with Cavs? They have no one who can defend Parker and Ginobili, even Duncan to an extent.

If we make it to the Finals, I do not care as long as we play the toughest possible team (which I'm thinking is Detroit).
