I have not watched much Jazz, but it seems they are particularly good at the mid-range game--jumpers off curls and screens for the most part. Boozer has a fabulous touch from mid-range, and Harpring and Giricek seem to base their games in this area. This presents an interesting matchup (if true), because the Spurs concentrate so much on preventing 3's and layups. So it would seem that their game corresponds completely with ours.

Is this how they prefer to play, or are we forcing their hand?

I think that we are forcing their hand. They are essentially taking what we give them. Compare last night to game 1 and you can see a vast difference in what Boozer has been trying to do. They are succeding, but to a fault. When we give Boozer that shot, he may hit it, but he isn't drawing contact. That keeps Tim and Oberto on the floor. When Boozer does try to post up closer to the basket, Bowen is rolling over to help on him and Boozer has to pass.
