Bitter? I'm rooting for the Spurs, I want Finley to get his ring. And the Spurs have one of the better fanbases in the league. They've also gotten an unfair rap for being "boring" when they're the lone heavyweight in a league filled with middleweights. It's always entertaining to watch basketball played at a high level. I don't particularly relish a Spurs-Pistons rematch because they tend to bring out the worst halfcourt rugby instincts in each other - 80-75 scores and 38% shooting from the field.

San Antonio is a one-team town and except for a stretch in the late eighties, they've been contenders since joining the league. A lot of Spurs fans are pretty sharp. Of course, every fanbase also has its sore winners and douchebags. And the epitome of a douchebag is wanting to run up the score over ancient history that has nothing to do with anybody out on the court tonight. I wouldn't appreciate a fellow Mavs fan encouraging poor sportsmanship. And I'd have the same reaction to a Jazz fan pulling the same crap if the shoe was on the other foot.

Oh yeah Stack did that and then he obliterated someone else and got ejected. I think maybe it's more Stack vs. the Jazz than Mavs vs. Jazz as far as personal shit goes....but I do remember Sloan screaming at the Mavs players and then trying to get into it with Avery.

Best "Stackhouse owning Jazz" moment was when he was with the Sixers and beat the shit out of Jeff Hornacek.

It's definitely a Stack vs Jazz thing. Utah plays Bowen defense against every team, not just Dallas. What was the name of the guy from Missouri that Stack stomped in the hallway at the AAC after a game? Kirk Snyder? Kris Humphries?

I don't care if you call out bandwagoners...I freely admit that the Mavs fanbase is comprised of a large portion of it. Dallas is a fair-weather town, and the Mavs have sucked for most of their existence. But you make no distinctions between the Mavs fans that have stuck with them through the hard times and the rest. It doesn't matter what any individual Mavs fan says or does, you play guilt by association and lump them in with the idiots no matter what.
