View Full Version : Fire Flip
The defense I saw tonight from the Pistons would make Larry Brown roll over in his grave...

Flip coached pretty bad, he has leadership issues, not his game plan. On the other hand, his players rarely follow him, hence they fucked up defensive rotations and offensive execution, and played like sissies.Mike Brown however was way worse. How bad a coach can he be? really??

No team with Flip Saunders and Chris Webber will ever go to the Finals.

Mike Brown was practically serving as assistant coach to Flip, and Flip still couldn't create a winning game plan.
I've been on the "fire flip" bandwagon since mid the season before this. He needs to GO. Let him and KG lose together.

I'd literally fire him before game 6 for thinking single covering Lebron with Chauncy was a good idea
Flip definitely deserves some blame, but the players make the plays.
It's not like the Piston players all of a sudden forgot how to play Piston defense when Flip took over the team. I mean, c'mon....common sense has to take over.

Didn't watch the games - don't really follow the east until they get into the finals. What's wrong with Mike Brown?
Bad substitutions? Plays?

Mike Brown is just as bad a coach...especially calling offensive plays, managing Timeouts, and handling close game situations...if he didn't have Lebron to bail him out in those situations, Brown would have been gone a long time ago.
Flip Saunders is just as bad...I mean calling for a zone defense with 20 some seconds left and Lebron with the ball? The double teams he called on Lebron were also weak as were the "traps"
Both are horrible coaches blessed with good players who disguise it for them: Lebron for the cavs, Billips for the pistons...

Lebron was having fun with that layup drill. Rasheed has a better chance of guarding Lebron than Prince. Lebron outweighs Prince by like 50 lbs it seems.
