Eh, Spurs will never shake the boring label, no matter how many articles of these are written. The fact that each topic about the Spurs is about how "they're not really boring" has all signs pointing to the contrary for the readers at the end. :lol

noone ever called us boring, until............................Bill Laimbeer did it on air on espn in a pre-game they were covering a Spurs game. he called them (Spurs) boring. A boring team.

And since that day, everyone bought into it. and that my friends is how the "Media" works.

the media basically has the key to make you a star or consider you a non-factor.

case in point, Mark Jacson during the Utah series. He said "I need to know what Memo is taking cause he is really playing the best defense I have ever seen anyone play on Duncan". Now not many people will agree with that assumption, but it will trigger the minds of the trolls. They live for that sh1t. They survive on that when there season comes to an end. I can hear utahs fans now saying they have a Duncan-stopper. LOL of course that aint true. But yeah, Bill Laimbeer started it all. And as far as the dirty this dirty that, I think it was Ray Allen and the media ran with it and so did our precious trolls.

People can think what they want. If the haters want to call the Spurs "boring", so be it.

The Spurs are everything people say they want to see in sports. But when teams do the things the Spurs do: win the "right" way, stay out of trouble, don't chase the almighty dollar, play for the team over the individual, etc., they get the "boring" or "soft" label. Just goes to show you that most people are either small minded, hypocrites, or both.

Other people can hate on my Spurs all they want. For me, it just makes it all the more sweeter when they beat the flash and flair of the rest of the league.

I say it loud and proud: GO :flag: GO!!!

Spurs needs a Marketing specialist to change that boring label, perhaps TIM could colour his hair like Rodman or Manu coud shve his head like Kidd, Mike could change his hair style (like Mr "T" :D). POP must start acting like Karl!.

Something have to be done :depressed

I have to believe there are many intervening factors for the small audiences, and more than a few have nothing to do with the Spurs. A major one is that baseball is now in full swing. On any given day, with the number of teams that now exist, literally millions are in the stands watching baseball.

Another one is that many, many basketball fans are simply tired of watching another 28 games of basketball after an 82 game season and more than a few exhibition games. For Pete's sake, it's June!

America is all about dollars chasing dollars. Money IS everything. Let's face it, San Antonio's money market is small, and even though the bigwigs will never admit it because it is simply unAmerican to put money ahead of character, hard work, and superb planning, they wish we would go away.

Change comes hard: Bird in Boston, Wilt in Philly, the Doc in NY and Philly, Kobe in LA, Shaq in LA and Miami, Jordan in Chicago. People over 40 know only these teams. San Antonio? Please! Who let them in? How dare they equate themselves with our known and accepted sports stars of America?

Like or not, we are entering a new era. Change will come slowly. Still, it will come. TD has minimally 4 years to go, maybe 6. I see another 3 titles. Can you imagine the crying that will be heard all over America?

I'm looking forward to it. Welcome to the twenty first century.

I remember that, wasn't it on espn?

bill lamebeer calling the Spurs boring, I'm surprised he didn't call them dirty.

"boring" and "dirty" cannot co exist, its one or the other.

Bill Lambeer probably didn't have the nutz to call someone else "dirty".

That would be the pot calling the kettle black.
