Talked about how he scored the final points of the game. Matt said that the Spurs came out on fire and that it was smooth sailing. Talked about how the West was a very tough conference. Said that it was a little bigger celebration winning the conference but there's still a lot of work to be done.

Thinks it's funny that the Spurs are a boring team. He said that it's been a blast being with the players. Talked about how the Patriots were called boring but that they just win and that's what matters.

Reporter said that Tim may be laid back but Manu and TP are NOT boring playing or in their lives. Matt said it doesn't bother any of them. That the team knows their roles. He said that if winning game the right way is boring then call them boring.

Matt said Utah had some nasty fans and they knew they did not go back there. They wanted to close it out so they did. Matt laughed when asked about if the true blue shirts were intimidating. He said no it just made them feel like everyone just had baby boys.

Said that Pop made them go straight to the locker room after the game in Utah because they were throwing their "2% beer." He said that they were all getting nailed with anything and everything there. He said back in game 5 that AK-47 elbowed him in the nose and strained his thumb.

Reporter asked him to talk about the Spurs organization from top to bottom. Matt said that being part of the organization then you see what it really takes to be part of an elite organization. He said that there are so many people that the fans never see that are the best in the business. He went through and named them. He said that it takes someone to put the team first.

The break makes him nervous because after the Denver series they had time off. Hopefully the team has learned their lesson.

Matt said that Lebron has really stepped and that he's incredible. Said last night's game was unbelievable. It's easy to sit on the couch say why can't the Pistions stop him but it's harder than you think. Reporter asked Matt if Cleveland is the better team. Matt said that the Pistons have struggled some with offense. Matt said he liked the Cavs depth and with James. He said don't be surprised if the Pistons pull it out tonight. Reporter asked Matt about who he wants to play and why. Matt said that Spurs were 2-0 against Pistons and 0-2 against Cavs. Said Cavs run a lot of the Spurs stuff and that it's like playing themselves. He said that either team is going to be a challenge.

Matt said it was crazy to wake up on Thursday morning and see the fans. He talked about Pop talking to the team about how long of a process it is when they came in for their first meeting. He said it is a long process for someone that's never been there.

Asked him who was the greatest redhead basketball player? Matt said Dave Cowen or Bill Walton.

Asked him about Billy Donovan. He said it was great opportunity for him and he is supporting him. Matt said he was a Gator and always will be. He's curious to see how he will be in the NBA. They teased Matt that Donovan was making more money than him. Asked him about going to Orlando to play for Donovan and Matt said he didn't think so. GM has the control and that Donovan probably won't go after him. He said he thinks he will be returning to SA.

Thanks for the summary!

Cavs "depth" is why LeBron had to score 29 of their last 30 pts. :lol

Thanks, Sam. I LOVE the Red Rocket and would be thrilled to see him with a little more playing time in the Finals. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h258/jlo49/good.gif
