Actually my roommate from college brought the French flag (he's from outside of Paris), but it was an easy thing to look for if you were in attendance tonight.

Kori and LJ, sorry I missed you guys tonight at the half. We weren't exactly in the right seats ;) and didn't think we'd get back to where we were sitting tonight.

I will be uploading some photos later that prove it was a good decision :)

How many people are in the Austin area here?

Maybe we should have an Austin GTG one of these nights to watch the game.

Hey Aggie,

were you the two guys sitting behind the bench??

Or the upper mid level.

I saw two people with French Flags.

Being a conservative though should make you cringe to have a french flag period.

Tpark,

We were six rows back from the Spurs bench.

SpursWoman, I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you guys sometime ;)

On the bright side, I got some great photos and more importantly got two autographed jerseys courtesy our starting backcourt that will be hanging on my wall tomorrow.

Went with one of my roommates from A&M (he's from France) and two other friends (all of them were French).

Met up with Olivier Pheulpin, who covers Tony and the Spurs for the French News (sorry Olivier, I forget the paper's name), and chilled watching the Spurs warm up.

I have exactly zero clue as to what they all talked about, the only French I know is the kind the sailors use, if you catch my drift. Anyway, I won't say where our tickets were, but that we ended up with a significant "seat upgrade". ;)

I'm kinda bummed about not meeting up with the FSP posse at the half, but given our seating situation, we felt it was best not to push our luck trying to get out and get back in again, sorry guys!

And our main mission was accomplished, talking to both Tony (again, it was all in French so who knows what was said) and Manu and getting a few autos along the way.

Here's the night in pics (clickable thumbs), without further ado....

It's L'Equippe.

I talked to Olivier before the game right after you had talked to him and he had pointed out to me that you guys were milling around wait for some good seats.

Nice. :hat

I saw you and your friend pretty damn close to the Spurs bench. Looked like awesome seats.

If you're not going to make it down for another game, you gotta at least come to a GTG.

P.S.

Did you boo Rose?

Aggie Hoopsfan
12-02-2004, 02:32 AM
Yeah, they were some damn good seats. Hope I can afford seats like that one day :D

LJ, this won't be the last game, I'll be around for more, just dunno yet. This was pretty last minute.

PS - No, but I did cry when he tried that one drive in the second half.

How can I be in the mood to boo? Got the Argentina NT Manu jersey signed pre-game, and got the black and silver #9 signed post-game. What's there to bitch about? ;)

AHF, that's awesome for you. Olivier said something like, "Look at those guys with the French flag..." I was thinking, "AHF?"

The funny part was one of my friends told me on the way home that I should have told Tony I was the one who wrote the article that got him the other two million he wanted, and asked for a loan

Maybe next time... :lol

You live in Austin? I always see you in the GTG pictures and figured you lived in SA...

Not sure if you really want to have a GTG with the Austin crew since it's pretty fucked up bunch...let's see, I think it's me, MB, Chump, Ice, Mark In Austin and SpurFaninAustin(I assume these two are from Austin)...

I've got some pics coming that have me in them, this was photos I was taking. One of the other guys in our group took a pic of me getting my Manu jersey signed and another with Tony I think he said, should get them emailed in the next day or two.

Whottt, I live in San Marcos during the semester (go home to SA during the weekends and once during the week for work), but it's Austin. Just a short drive away.

Plus, I'm usuaully in Austin for work twice/thrice a month.

Austin's in driving range of SA anyways. I go up there quite a bit for Ice Bats games, Dudley and Bob gatherings, Sunday brunch at Stubb's, etc...

And I'm 20 minutes south of SA as it is.

Definitely had a great time, will have to do it again sometime, only get there a little earlier so we can talk to Tony more (missed him in pregame).
