With a photo of Tim Duncan soaring through the air about to dunk a basketball, the cover of this week's Sports Illustrated says it all: "The Great Duncan."

Over at OK! — the celebrity gossip rag — Tony Parker, photographed hugging a basketball, has been dubbed "Man Candy" and the story lists reasons why he's loved: he's romantic, musical and listens to his mom.

We don't want the other Spurs to feel snubbed, so as the team prepares to battle for its fourth NBA title, here are magazines we'd like to see them featured in.

Manu Ginobili: Field & Stream. Because fish flop, right?

Brent Barry: Guns & Ammo. Because he'd probably look good 'n manly in camo with a hunting rifle slung over his shoulder.

Robert Horry: AARP, The Magazine. Fourteen years in the NBA. Enough said.

Fabricio Oberto: Rolling Stone. With that long, stringy hair flying down the court, he's got the Kurt Cobain look down.

Bruce Bowen: Soldier of Fortune. Because he's got the defensive tools — and perhaps offensive ones, too.

Matt Bonner: Car and Driver. Bonner drives a Pontiac Grand Prix. He needs to upgrade his ride.

Coach Pop: Mad magazine. Because he never cracks a smile, and when he does, he still looks angry. mysa (http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/basketball/nba/spurs/stories/MYSA060407.2P.Page2Spurs.24f821f.html)
