SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Call them converted. The San Antonio Spurs have seen the future, and its name is LeBron James.

"What can I say, the King is awesome," offered San Antonio star-in-decline Tim Duncan. "I don't know how you can slow someone like that down, let alone stop him. My God, all you have to do is go to YouTube to see how much he owns us. Next time he takes it to the hoop, I'm just going to step back because I'm tired of getting posterized."

"Hell, there's no way I can keep up with that young stud," mugger Bruce Bowen observed. "He's so big, so strong, and so good. I don't even think stepping under his feet on shots will help. Maybe I can get Rob [Horry] to bump him into the scorers table."

Even veteran Spurs players seem resigned to their fate. Six-time champion/axe murderer Robert Horry may have stated it best when he said "What the fuck? I've got my rings, it's time to move on and let the young buck have his way. Tell Bruce he's on his own there. Besides, that Sideshow Bob dude scares the hell out of me."

"I was talking with PJ [assistant coach Carilissimo] yesterday, and he showed me how, according to the stats, we just don't have a chance," said over-the-hill Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich. "We'll go out there and play the games, because that's what the fans expect. Stats don't lie, and we weren't even close to beating Cleveland during the regular season. With them playing at such a high level in the playoffs, we'll be lucky to win a game. I dream of having a bench someday like those guys."

oh yeah, best part of that commercial is when the axe guy is in the back and they're about to pick up the chainsaw guy, and he's like "BUT HE'S GOT A CHAINSAW!" I lost my drink laughing the first time I saw that commercial.
