An all too infrequently used tool for hashing out arguments about particular subjects. I never participated in one, but I seem to recall that it involved one poster choosing a topic and presenting an argument about it in 500 words or less. Another poster -- the first to take up the mantle, I suppose -- could then respond with an opposing viewpoint. The original poster then was permitted a reply, and the entire argument was then submitted to a panel of long-time posters who were asked to decide which argument was more convincing. Whichever of the two posters got the most votes from the panel won the Battle Blog.
