What do you think the odds are on LeBron winning MVP if the Cavs lose?

Depends how much ABC, ESPN, Stern, and All of Basketball past, present ,and future is worshiping him by that time.

Do you even get on the F-MVP ballot if you're on the losing side of a 4-1 Finals?

Duncan wins this easy unless Ginobili sells his soul to Stern for 30+ FTA per game.

I thought Magic did it one year. But that's why I've asked the question, because I don't know.

Magic only has 3 and each time the Lakers won. Good to know that Tim will pass him by next weekend.

Tim just needs to perform at his average level and he'll win it easily. His numbers are that good. Plus factor in a "great" game or two from him and he's a lock.

The only time the MVP came from the losing team was the Lakers' Jerry West in 1969.

Celtics won in 7, Lakers' West got MVP.

That was also the first year of the Finals MVP, so I don't think it will ever happen again.

Amen.

too bad this is such a no-brainer that the favorite is only paying out .33.. still some more vBucks are better than NO vBucks. :lol

True even if they really double him hard he is still likely to go for about 20 and 12 a game and if they play him one on one it will be more like 28 and 12.

Duncan is a great player, don't get me wrong. I am not discredting him by saying what I am about to say. He can't just have an average game, his average game is what we saw from him in the regular season against Cleveland and the Cavs won both times. And let's make this clear, the Cavs are playing by far their best basketball right now as well, so it isn't like they haven't improved vastly as well, the Cavs have probably improved from regular season to playoffs even more than the Spurs have.

PS - As great as Duncan is, Lebron is going to take him to school in this series. Duncan is a great post player, Lebron is a great all-around player.

Wow. That's incredibly stupid. You better be praying the Spurs play a lot of zone.

Can't have co mvp in the finals. There are an odd # of votes. That's why manu got robbed in 05

Rob, Lets assume you are right and there are 11 (just to put some odd # of votes) 5 Vote for Manu, 5 for Duncan and 1 for Parker. Voila, finals co-MVPs.

Anyways, I think in '05 Duncan got 6 votes and Manu 4, so if one of the voters had voted for Manu instead of Duncan...

You could have co-mvps, but there'd have to be five of them. Duncan, Manu, Parker, Bowen and Oberto for MVP?

he scores, rbds, block shots, sometimes passes the ball when double/triple-teamed, and if he sits down due to foul trouble the team might lose the game

Spurs #21-TIM DUNCAN
