View Full Version : James dunk over Timmy

I just watched it for the first time...sure LeBron got up pretty dang high, but I am tired of reading every media article talking about him posterizing Timmy. Tim never left his feet, he didn't even attempt to block it, so I think like a lot of everything LeBron does, this was vastly overrated.

With all the "the Cavs have no chance against the Spurs but great they made it" takes I'm reading in the media, I'm kinda glad this is getting some run to counter things a bit. I don't want just the Cavs to have added fuel.

That's great, just tell to jump next time so he looks stupider, like sheed. That's something duncan should shoot for this series :king

Um, no. Tim Duncan is a smarter man and player than Rasheed. They both whine, but Tim's more respectful. Rasheed is simply a walking technical foul.
Please don't make Cavs fans look bad.

If Timmy would of taken the charge, instead of just turning then falling, he might of gotten the charge call he would of just fell. How many times has he taken a charge though this year?... I can think of one time.
Now the dunk was nice, but the media is just hyping this series up like no other. Not necessarily a bad thing either... these finals will be the most entertaining of the three that the spurs have participated in.

True, I like Tim and he's a smart player he doesn't jump sometimes and pick up fouls.

Why wouldn't you want it hyped up, as spurs fans? Against Detroit it would have been less media attention for the spurs as well, now your in the championship, with more attention, and if you beat Lebron it will be a bigger deal in the spotlight. Your franchise, more than any, should relish it. I have friends down here in the islands and they follow the spurs and they love it!! They think its going to be an exciting series and that it will give them more exposure than in the past!! :downspin:
Lebron's good at dunking....Tim's good at winning titles...
If i were you i'd probably keep talking about the dunk also.

Sure, Lebron will get his dunks over Timmy this series. But it won't mean a thing if he doesn't get the ring!

You don't get us or the Spurs.
We're not like LeBron fans.
We don't want hype, we're quite content flying under the radar.

You don't think we'd trade all that hype in for a championship? It's all good and glamorous but at the end of the day, it's just the media looking for a story.

Plenty of times. Watch videos of last year's series against Detroit.
What are you implying?

I would like to be considered as an exception. I try not to be obnoxious because I hate it when trolls come onto our boards and show no respect and intelligence.

I like the spurs alot. Media hype and more people watching the finals is good for the NBA, San Antonio, and Cleveland. May the best team win but its going to be hard fought series, and good for the NBA. I need another rum and coke........ :madrun

I think I've seen it a hundred times in the last few days. Heck, they played it on loop during the intro to a story on ESPN for like 2 minutes. I'm quite sick of seeing that one play.
