Anyone think it might be a good defensive ploy, when we need to give Bowen a breather, or when Lebron needs another look(because he is getting too comfortable), to try Elson on James? Both Bowen and Elson are out-powered by Lebron, but Elson's length might make a fine change of pace from Bowen...

Pop hasn't done anything like that this whole year. Elson has guarded some wings, but only if the other team has gone small and the Spurs are staying big.

In theory it might be a good change of pace look to throw at LeBron, but I'd be floored if I saw it this series.

Only if you want Elson to "goon" it up a little, or if you want to send Lebron to the line and deliver a hit in the process. That said, I think you'd have to convince Elson that Lebron insulted his mother to get him to really lay a good hit.
