27 Points.....7 assists.....4 rebounds and 2 steals...

Not a bad way to start out making his case for MVP.

As great as Parker was tonight, Tim Duncan was the man again.

Duncan was the man on defense, and offense.

Didn't Duncan have 24 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks tonight? That's a great game too.

Yeah, you really can't ignore the blocks and rebounds, and those two steals....

Tony did a good job of coming out aggressive, but I don't think it was enough...

yeah after witnessing Tim Duncan. Duncan' looks to be on his way get his fourth. He was really, really something.

Parker had a great time today, though.

I have no problem with competition for the Finals MVP. If Duncan can put up numbers like tonight then I recommend all of these guys challenge him for it.

Tony can throw in another 27 points and 7 assists. Ginobili can go off with double digit rebounds, steals and his usual points. Hell, Oberto can even give us some of those high profile games we've seen of late.

Duncan was a monster again, tony did it great too

If Parker plays this way the whole series he might get some votes ala Ginobili 2005

Game 1 MVP = Tim Duncan

Duncan set the tone tonight. His defense was money.

Parker needs to shut his trap in the presser. The same questions that Pop refuses to answer, the reporters just ask Parker and Parker opens up....

What are you worried about? Parker admitted we doubled and trapped Lebron. You act like the Cavs coaches won't be able to figure that out from breaking down tape :lol

That was a very hard foul by Pavlovic on Parker.. hitting the floor hard was bad enough but having Pavlovic land on top of him.. could have gotten hurt bad. But he was really shaken up missed his FTs and a lot of jumpers. Anyway good thing he picked it up in the 2nd half. A satisfying game but I expect the Spurs to do better now that the rust is gone from their long layoff.

Its like I've been saying, Tony can play like this all playoffs long, but if Duncan plays like he played today, it won't make a difference. Tim was the man, is the man, and will be the man for at least 3 more years. After that, I see Parker having a chance, if we ever make it to the playoffs after that

It's all about the defense, and therefore, it's all about Tim

Parker played great but it was Tim again on both ends 10-17, 24 pts 13 reb 5 blks and how many shots did he alter. Tim is on his way to finals MVP numbers 4 but if they win and Tony gets it good for him. Tim does not have to win it again when he already has 3.

I don't care who gets MVP. if anything, competition in our own team for that is great.

Some people are insane. If Duncan had scored the same amount of points no one would have thought about this.

Duncan is the MVP of this team. It's not all about scoring.

He was tonight his D and efficiency got it for him. They doubled him a lot and we missed quite a few open shots. If the Spurs start making them the double teams will probably soften up a bit and he can really go to work and put up the massive stats.

I was just happy Parker finally made a few shots after that hard foul in the first quarter

Amen, we have to be glad that the Spurs don't pay attention to Finals MVP, it'd be bad if they actually started looking for theirs, rather than for the team, en route towards the Finals wins.
