From fucken ABC News...

:soapbox:

NATO officials say they have caught Iran red-handed, shipping heavy arms, C4 explosives and advanced roadside bombs to the Taliban for use against NATO forces, in what the officials say is a dramatic escalation of Iran's proxy war against the United States and Great Britain.

"It is inconceivable that it is anyone other than the Iranian government that's doing it," said former White House counterterrorism official Richard Clarke, an ABC News consultant.

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates stopped short earlier this week of blaming Iran, saying the U.S. did not have evidence "of the involvement of the Iranian government in support of the Taliban."

But an analysis by a senior coalition official, obtained by the Blotter on ABCNews.com, concludes there is clear evidence of Iran's involvement.

"This is part of a considered policy," says the analysis, "rather than the result of low-level corruption and weapons smuggling."

Yep, somebody posted it on a ABC blotter, so to ABC News it must be true. Anyone else feeling just a little De ja vu here?

Of course, if ABC News were still a legitimate news agency, instead of a shell of what they could have been, they would include that even Afghan President Harmid Karzai called these allegations against Iran, "baseless" and disputed that any 'Senior U.S. official' had proof...

Meanwhile, in a direct rebuttal of recent reports, in the Washington Post, about Iran's alleged supply of arms to the Taliban, Afghan President Hamid Karzai told a joint press conference with US Defense Secretary Robert Gates at his side that he regarded Iran as "a very close friend" that has helped Afghanistan's reconstruction during the past five years.

Karzai called the allegations of Iran's pro-Taliban meddlings as "baseless", and even Gates reluctantly admitted that the US has no "proof" that Iran was supplying arms to Taliban, thus disputing the claim of a "senior US official" who told the Washington Post just last week that the US had solid evidence to this effect."

Asia Times (http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/IF08Ak01.html)

Yep, the M$M News agency that beat the war drum the loudest against Iraq and it's lack of WMDs, wants us all to forget what a horrible fucken job they did disputing any of the administration 'pre-Iraq war' claims and take it's fucken word that Iran is shipping weapons to the taliban because someone posted in on their fucken blotter!
