Before everyone jumps on me, I am not counting my chickens before they hatch, but I was wondering if anyone could give me the date that they have planned for the River Walk Parade? Reason I am asking is that I am from out of town, have always wanted to attend one, so plan on getting a River Walk Hotel reservation ahead of time.

Thanks!

I heard on the radio it will be the 16th but thats only if its a sweep. So we won't really know the true date until after the series is over.

Cleveland has a lake and a river.

She didn't say "River Fire Parade" though.

True but I wouldn't be shocked if the San Antonio River was flammable.

I think it would be an awesome annual event.

Burn it.

Drain it.

Take the shopping carts out.

Burn it again.

Fill it up.

Burn the shopping carts.

Maybe we can do that on the even years. :smokin

Does that mean they are planning a lake and a river parade?

Thanks. The only reason I was asking is that I get in on the end of a Ticket 760 broadcast that was jumping SA for already planning the parade, so I thought the dates were set.

I believe it will be two days after the series is won. I have a friend that is working for the company that plans it and thats what she told me.

No, because Jim Brown isn't walking through that door. Otto Graham isn't walking through that door.

I believe Dallas was planning a parade after the first game of last years Finals, weren't they?

Every city in a finals has to plan a parade. They just don't have to be loud bitches about it.

Every city except Cleveland. They don't want to spend any extra money on a losing proposition :smokin

Definitely worth coming into town for; make a reservation ASAP. It will be one of the coolest things you have ever done!!! But if you can't get a Riverwalk hotel, just stay anywhere. The river hotels might be a bit far for a good view and just standing at the river's edge is a great view!!

it takes weeks to plan and coordinate a parade. i bet you the spurs start planning before the finals begin, same with cleveland.
