It's amazing reading all the complaints why the Cavs lost game 1. Here they complain about the Spurs Intro. Last I saw, there were 45 replies.

To be honest, I wish we would change that song too.

Does anyone else agree that the Spurs team intro. was the lamest thing they've ever seen? "Get Ready For This?" Are you kidding me? That song is like 20 years old. LAME. I think the Cavs intro. is sweet but here's the best one I know:
cavfan proceeds to pimp the Bulls Finals intro which uses a song that is 25 years old.

intro song is lame, when you compare the fans GS to SA, it's like the Spurs play in an empty gym

They were showing some clips of the Cleveland fans this morning and that place is going to be frickin nuts for games three, four and five.
What is the problem with the fans in SA? Back in the day the old arena was crazy loud and now it seems like fans are just chillin. Are Spurs fans spoiled after a few champoinships or is it the layout of the arena?

The arena is not good for carrying sound.

Must we defend ya'll ready for this? It really does suck and we deserve to be ripped for using that POS.
It'd be one thing if it had any redeeming musical value...but it doesn't.

Seriously? The Alamodome is where crowd noise went to die.
The problem is not the building - the problem is that the rambunctious Spurs fan is gone, maybe for good. Fans get spoiled by success. Look at Oakland - they hadn't been to the playoffs since 1994 and they were rocking the Oracle. Spurs fans aren't inclined to get excited about rounds one and two these days.

Two problems in the AT&T center: The people who sit in the seats nearest the court tend to be socially conservative to the point that the only time they ever yell is to scream at the people in front of them to sit down. They believe that it is "common" to yell and cheer loudly, and they point and laugh at people who do. I'm serious. It happens all the time, and it intimidates fans who actually want to yell and cheer.
The second thing is that the mascot (the coyote) often silences the crowd rather than revving it up. For one thing, he never appears (until the first game of the finals when he actually showed up at the beginning of the game)
until the 2 1/2 minute time out of the first period. Then, his skits often make the crowd silent watching him until he is done. I have seen the crowd wild and then the coyote comes out and silences everyone while does the S-P-U-R-S spelling pointing at the court sign. Then the crowd cheers on cue, but then has nothing to keep it going afterward again.
At the finals first game, the coyote came out really early and just KEPT THE CROWD GOING, rather than making the crowd focus on him. That was much better. One last thing...(and I know this is the third when I promised there would only be two)
The box seats across from the visiting bech were not even full well into the first quarter for the FINALS. I don't know who owns them...but I think that if people who have tickets for the boxes can't get themselves to the games that the seats should be given to whoever has the highest tiered seats in the arena, so that people who want to see the team play can do so, rather than having just being a place for the wealthy to see and be seen in between dinner coarses in the box suites.
