I don't know if this thread has been done before (probably) but I thought it would be fun to hear some stories.

One of my favorite sightings was when I ran into Sean Elliott at a convenience store on 410 and Vance Jackson about 12 years ago. I was with my son and he was only 3 at the time. He stopped and chatted with us for a minute or so. He was very cool about it and he's always been one of our favorite Spurs.

When I was in HS the Iceman was walking around (seemed rather random, forgot what he was there for) and got his autograph. Also ran into Coby Dietrick at his back store once upon a time. Had one big ass dog there.

Sean Elliott threw a basketball at one of my good friends face for not paying attention at the Spurs basketball camp at (I believe)Incarnate Word about 12 years ago. Everytime I see him I still make fun of him for that..I remember receiving a fake Dwayne Schintzius autograph for attending that camp. :smokin

John Lucas came to our highschool to talk about the pitfalls of drugs and shared stories about his own troubled past. I was able to get his autograph and ask him a question about World B. Free.

Does meeting Barry when he was a Sonic count?

I saw Rod Strickland's white Mercedes at the impound lot and I saw Willie Anderson at Baby Dolls on Wurzbach. He was on crutches.

My only brush with a Spurs player -- I chatted a bit with Brent Barry on 6th St here in Austin the day after the 2005 Championship Riverwalk parade. He was just strolling around downtown with one of his kids.

Was wondering if anyone has ever run into Tim Duncan or Tony Parker anywhere. Just curious as to what kind of guys they are in that situation.

a friend of mine saw tony parker and his dad in a department store on the magnificent mile in chicago (it was during last season. the spurs were in chicago for a game against the bulls). she said he was really nice. he even took a picture with her.

I sold a computer to David Robinson once. He didn't buy a warranty, though, so I didn't get a bonus. :madrun :lol

We have seen Tony out at various restaurants and other places. We've also seen several Spurs at Best Buy and IHOP.
