We haven't seen much of Findawg in the second half of either game. Is his back messed up? Has he really played that bad? Barry didn't seem any better and he got mad 2nd half PT.

I think it was a mistake not playing Finley and putting Barry in for so long. There were several questionable decisions in the 4th quarter.

i'd rather have finley in there than give barry so many inutes

Barry had a decent 1st half which is why I think Fin didn't get as much PT in the 2nd half. Barry is playing too anxious and feels like he needs to prove something. I guess his slump in the PO's has given him a "I need to start making as many threes as I can or I'm gonna get canned" mentalitly and that's not him. He needs to get set for a good 1/2 to 1 second and fire. He can't bomb them one after another form 33 feet with 20 seconds in the shot clock left.

I thought Barry was pretty assertive tonight. Maybe too assertive - it may not be necessary to keep chucking up shots from Kerrville with a huge lead and the shot clock at 20.

Pop started garbage time too early. Oh well. 2-0.

Barry had a decent 1st half Really? In what way?

I don't think either was better than the other -- it was just a matter of not playing Finley when it didn't seem necessary because of his back.

So it is his back???

Eh Finley wasn't great, but at least he was playing defense, and tipped balls, got loose balls.

Barry wasn't doing shit.

Once again, Less Barry > More Barry

its been proven time and time again in these playoffs.

That too(Finley's back), but from the 3-5 minutes he got he hit a three, had a rebound and a nice pass here and there. Well what I'm getting at is that he looked like regular season barry who was playing pretty well and I guess it entered Pop's mind that this could be a breakout game for Barry.

Barry made a 3 and a nice assist on the Elson dunk. I don't remember much else. He shot horribly. Finley isn't shooting all that well either, but he's probably a better option.

Once again, only 3 Spurs in double figures (guess who). They didn't need more scoring from the rest tonight, but if either one of the 3 have a bad night, it may get ugly.

I think it has something to do with pop not showing his hand

I think the long layoff got finley out of rythum horribly.

He was ina good rythum against Utah, and then the 7 day break, and now hes back ot December mode.

I expect a better shooting Fin tuesday. only 1 day off, more chances to make shots.

Also he seems to make shots when the game is closer, than a 10 12 point lead in a game so to speak.

No shit. Man I asking where in Manu, where is Fin, yet Barry kept chucking missed 3's.

Boggles my mind some of you people keep bickering between Fin and Barry.

Who the fuck cares? The Spurs are up 2-0.

Finley just plays better defense, and I trust his jumper way more than barry.

Period.

When Brent's shot goes up, well, its hit or miss so to speak.

neither one is hitting outside shots, which might be a good thing because we haven't needed them yet. Odds are one will start hitting 3s and will help us win a close game in cleveland.

i apologize

when it goes up you dont have the same confidence when its Barry shooting.

But if its Horry, Ginobili, Finley, or Bowen?

You are dissapointed when the damn thing clangs off.

Finley was yanked for not boxing out. He let Gibson keep a ball alive that led to a three point play. And then right before Finley was pulled for good, he let Pavlovic get an offensive rebound that should have been an easy boxout.

Fin needs to start doing the little things better. The Cavs play the Spurs defense ... meaning that they aren't going to give you standard open looks at three-pointers. You might get an open look from deep but it won't be in your normal rhythm.

If Fin can't knock down shots he has to at least do things like boxout.

At this point it's pretty even between these two in my book. There not giving us much. I would hope finley is having back problems because i would hate for him to be bricking shots this badly and being healthy.

His back, definitely. No back, no legs for shooting accuracy, would love to talk to the team doctors to find out when his back became an issue. Did Findog leave it all at the Utah series?

Fin will be back in a big way in Cleveland. Book it.

Hopefully Finley left that choker mojo back in Dallas with Dirk and the other losers on the Mavs. We already have one Nowitzki on the team in Barry. Don't need two chokers, especially since the series is moving back to Cleveland.

Uh Finley had a great game helping the team out of the first round.

So yeah, just toss that idea out the window....

I'm talking about his play in the Finals. Barry is shooting bricks out there so Finley's going to have to contribute. Road games are dangerous and we need Bowen and Finley stepping on their throats with those 3 point daggers. I'm just hoping he doesn't decide to pull a classic Dallas chokejob on us.

Both guys are sucking out loud. Here are the numbers for both, and they're goddamn ugly:

Game one:

Finley - 19:55, 1-7 (0-4 3FG), 3 DRB, 2 PTS
Barry - 7:55, 1 TO

Game two

Finley - 14:36, 1-4 (0-3 3FG), 1 ORB, 2 AST, 2 STL, 1 TO, 2 PTS
Barry - 11:45, 1-6 (1-6 3FG), 2 DRB, 1 AST, 3 PTS

Total

Finley - 34:31, 2-11 (0-7 3 FG), 1 ORB, 3 DRB, 2 AST, 2 STL, 1 TO, 4 PTS
Barry - 19:40, 1-6 (1-6 3FG), 2 DRB, 1 AST, 1 TO, 3 PTS
