lol you found "spurs" tickets for tottenham when you searched on ebay eh?

I actually went to a spurs game in london back in october. They are a fairly good club, usually staying in the competition against the better funded london clubs (chelsea / arsenal)

No actually I didn't look for Spurs tickets on eBay.

Yes we're by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen...as the song goes.

Who did you see us play?

I'll be living in the UK next year and need a football side to support...

Soul_Patch
06-11-2007, 11:14 AM
might as well support the spurs of england :)

One of the main reasons when i was looking for a live game to go to on vacation, i scoured everywhere i could find for their tickets. That and the fact that Chelsea and Arsenal tickets are near impossible to get...and tottenham is the third best london club :clap

no offense to the tottenham supporters.

We are probably the more famous Spurs and I guess it's easier to make Tottenham videos than SA Spurs videos hense there being more on youtube.

Come on you Spurs! Good luck for your playoff games.

Why? According to Wikipedia the 2 Spurs teams are working on some sort of business arrangement.

This is what wikipedia says:
Spurs fans have made links with Tottenham Hotspur F.C. (which also goes by the name Spurs), with the two teams having mutual support for each other. The clubs are planning a business agreement whereby each other's merchandise is sold at the other club (similar to Manchester United F.C. and New York Yankees)

Typically in this forum, Tottenham Hotspurs fans give limited props to the San Antonio Spurs and vice versa.

Football > basketball worldwide.

San Antonio Spurs are despised in USA outside of San Antonio.

We have won the UEFA cup, europes 2nd tier trophy 3 times and the FA cup 8 times those are our most prized honours.

Yep, the difference between Hotspur and Spur is just hot. Spurs is our nickname, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is our full name.

Cheers for calling it Football by the way

Hotspur is named after the Shakespeare character, or no?

I heard there was a deal where each franchise was going to market jerseys and paraphenalia for the other in their clubhouses. Not sure if that's true.

I'm an Arsenal fan here in England (that's soccer), and Tottenham Hotspur (or 'Spurs' as they are commonly referred to) are their closest rivals - both teams are in North London. It took a while to be able to come to terms wearing a shirt with Spurs on it - as many people here in the UK would assume that it's soccer.

However, Arsenal and France striker Thierry Henry is close friends with Tony Parker, and i've got a photo of the two of them in SAS shirts in the AT&T. I think Thierry is going to the wedding as well.

So if SAS fans are looking for an English team, keep it in the family and go with TP's friends at Arsenal.

This is the deal when you google looking for this very forum:

1. You type in "spurs forum"

You end up here

3. You type in "spurs forums"

You end up in the totteham site

Interesting, eh?

Steve Nash - Tottenham Hotspur fan.

Thierry Henry (close friend of Tony Parker) - Arsenal player.

Arsenal's recent championships: 1998, 2002, 2004 (the year before each of the Spurs last 3 championships).

Hotspurs' recent championships: 1961.

Arsenal's style of play = SAS style of play.

Mr. Body

What is Arsenal's fan base? I've seen asides where they're described as hippies and vegan and stuff. Then I've heard bin Laden was a fan.
