These are finely tuned professional athletes playing in the NBA Finals, right? Larry Hughes and Damon Jones didn't exactly treat their bodies like temples prior to Game 2 on Sunday night.
Hughes and Jones had a locker room assistant fetch them a meal from Whattaburger, the famous chain fast-food in San Antonio.
Those Cavs love their hamburgers.

you must not know much about pro athletes. they have the metabolism that eating junk before the game actually helps them.

I don't know. I think they're slippin'. They always put that raunchy lettuce and it looks like someone sat on the buns before I get mine. They could stand to be hotter as well.
And when the fries are fresh, they are great. If they've been sitting though, total shit. No middle ground.
I had a Sonic burger not too long ago and it was 10x the burger.

Blasphemy! They just got a Steak n Shake here in Austin and I'm thrilled. I've missed that place ever since I lived in Orlando. I do love me some Whataburger though... Whattacatch FTW!

Overrated, although better than Whataburger, but I don't think you can compare the two. Whataburger = fast food. Whataburger is the equivalent of McD's, Wendy's, Jack in the Box, etc. And I think Whataburger is the best fast-food burger.
Other burger joints (Sam's, Chris Madrid's, Chester's, Cheesy Jane's) are in a class by themselves.
The best burger I've had in San Antonio was $6.85, and from the Magnolia Pancake Haus. The secret? Super-sweet buns. They are awesome, homemade buns, with ground Angus, and fresh toppings.

I urge any burger fan to check it out and let me know what you think.

I don't know...that Sonic burger was super-hot and really fresh. For fast food, it was the best I had in a long time.
I know Chris Madrid's is in a different class but I still dig it. Fuddrucker's too...enjoy their fries.
I've only had Magnolia's breakfast so far, not their burgers. The wait to get into that place discourages me from going.

I was not impressed by their breakfast the one time I went there... but you're right, the wait might have something to do with that.
I've gone a couple of times for lunch on weekdays, no wait.
Highly recommended.

Actually, I've never given a really really bad review, especially related to the staff. I hate to dump on people who are making minimum wage if they're trying at all. Usually I try to find something positive to say about the staff member I dealt with so that they will get kudos.
I'm probably too much of a bleeding heart to do this sort of thing, but anyway...I get free meals out of it. :spin

Back in college years I worked at the Whataburger in Kingsville. The noon runs were frantic and then being located on the business route whenever a bus would pull in, man. it cranked up to ridiculous.
As I had knowledge of the fries, veggies, buns etc, y'all have it pegged right with the little quirks those items had when they got cold!

haha do spurs fans not dig eating the meat?...haha
A bit about WB Catchup...
It's without a doubt the best. Whenever I go I always get extra that I set aside for when I get fries from any other place, and there have also been a few times that I got burgers and fries elsewhere and stopped at WB and told them I forgot to get catchup.
When I go to other places I don't even ask for catchup, I use WB catchup or I use what I have at home.
Not only is it damn good, but you get a lot of catchup when you open one, and they are easy to open, rather than opening a half dozen packets....
