While Cleveland fans most likely haven't had enough success to make postgame victory dances a tradition, local resident Dave Bell and his family have made a Spurs dance of their own.
The Bell family does a victory dance after every series victory, where his five sons and other game-watchers hop around and dance frantically to the "Go Spurs Go!" song.
Bell put video of the dance on YouTube after the Spurs-Suns series, and it received more than 10,000 views after the video was posted on Spurs blog Poundingtherock.com.
The clip can be seen at www.youtube.com/watch?v=15S1B7ZPpsk
How did this dance tradition start?
Our whole household is just nuts about the Spurs. We never miss a game, and we've watched the Spurs since they were the Chaparrals. More and more traditions get started when they keep winning.
We're a real celebrant family overall, and it's a spontaneous celebration. Once we did it a couple times, it became a tradition.
What are some other traditions?
There are tons. Everybody has to wear the same clothes for every game, even the same underwear. My wife is constantly washing clothes.
Some of the kids take pre-game showers, and we drink an orange drink heavily laced with caffeine during games. If the Spurs are doing poorly, everybody reloads on this drink.
It's really bizarre how much we do to support the Spurs even though they have no idea we're doing this.
How crazy does it get during games?
They were 26 people for one of the games, so the next day I went and got another cable box so I could watch in my bedroom.
There's so much noise that I really have to worry about the neighbors. Whenever Robert Horry makes a 3 or something, it's deafening.
Were you shocked that so many people watched the YouTube video?
I was really amazed and surprised. I get a lot of angry responses from people who love to hate the Spurs. Some of the people who post the hate mail don't have too much of a vocabulary either.
