I'd say zero chance of the Cotton. UT and uo will both be pretty decent this year. The Cotton is going to take either the loser of those 2 or the B12 game loser. Even as bad as UT finished up last year, they would have still been chosen over atm for a Bowl if not for the injury/loss to KState. After the loss, everyone assumed UT would beat atm and get the B12 game. The sponsorless Gator was going to exersize its 'once in four years' clause to take uo, arguably the hottest team in the nation at the time. Therefore the Cotton spoke up and said it would take the loser of the B12 game. This left the next bowl selection to the Holiday and they gladly took a 5th place atm. All of this was already done, leaving the Alamo the next bowl without a team. They were going to pick Mizzou, but they unexplicable gave ISU their only conf win of the year. Then they were going to wait to see how ttek finsihed up. In the interm, UT lost to atm, which put uo in the B12 game, and made #10 WV a better choice than UT, so UT had no other bowl left than the Alamo, who was thrilled to sell a bunch of home game tickets.

(d) RonMexico responds by saying that hiding a handful of men's athletic success inside a posting of a vast amount of women's sports does not make his post a particularly valid one

Mike, I don't really keep up with national titles that don't mean anything (i.e. wrestling), but I know for a fact that A&M men's water polo just won the national championship this year (2007) so that would leave A&M with more than 2 national titles in men's sports in "the past 105 years." (Unless, of course, you've become a USC fan like your boy JGW and consider the 1939 football championship to belong to USC.) Also, could you please provide us with an itemized list of those 5 nat'l championships OSU has won in the past 5 years. I might be mistaken, but I didn't think the 2002 Houston bowl was the national championship game.

LOL :clap you think golf and Tennis Sweet 16 is something to brag about? This is the most shitty list I've ever seen, well, it was until I saw the 2004 NCAA Runner-up Women's Golf. I went to Ohio State, if I were to make a list of achievements from 2002, including women's and secondary men's sports, it would be pretty long. But I'll give you this:

I'll give them credit for wrestling. It's really big in the midwest but not that big in Texas. The old big 8 schools probably love that as much as basketball. And it's also big in the big 10. The rest of them does not matter.
