Approval of Congress lowest in a decade

Yep, now that the democraps have control, the approval is at an all time low. While president Bush enjoys a 33% approval, congress gets only a 27%.

Pelosi gets a whopping 36% approval. Gengrich enjoyed a measly 46% this far into his speaker position.

I found this article on my first search after hearing some numbers. This article fails to report the fantastic 19% approval that Harry Reid enjoys!

OK, here is another measure. From Rasmussen Reports dot Con (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/harry_reid_s_favorables_fall_to_19)

That's good enough for a VP-candidacy slot for Edwards....

Fundamentally, no one is happy with this Congress. Progressives feel that Congress has bowed down to the WH on almost every important issue, except raising the minimum wage. Conservatives just don't like Pelosi.

As low as their approval ratings may be, this Congress seems perfectly content waiting till Sept. and using the failure of Dubya's surge as a political weapon against Republicans and the Republican candidate for Prez in 08. Shameful, but that's politics.

62% of Republicans still approve of Dubya's job preformance...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush's approval rating has dropped to 29 percent in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released on Wednesday, his lowest mark ever in that survey, which also found only 23 percent approved of the job Congress was doing.

Bush's approval rating slid 6 points from 35 percent in April, NBC said, citing a decline in support within his own Republican Party. Sixty-six percent said they disapproved of Bush's job performance.

In the poll, 62 percent of Republicans approved of Bush's job performance, down from 75 percent in April. Thirty-two percent of Republicans in the latest poll disapproved of Bush's performance, up from 21 percent in April.

NBC tied the drop in Republican support to Bush's efforts to promote an immigration reform measure that many conservative Republicans oppose. Polls have also shown a decline in Bush's popularity due to the war in Iraq.

Wall Street Journal has him somewhere around 27%. How he commands even those numbers is remarkable. Congress is on a decade+ streak of pathetic.

Of course not. Didn't you notice my sarcasm on most of these points?
