It looks like a sweep tonight- but even if Cleveland manages to win one- the Spurs still have this series in the bag.

So- congrats to the Spurs! (sincerely)

I do have a couple of observations about this year's Finals:

1) How can so many players that cannot shoot the basketball wind up in the NBA?- and on the same team, in Cleveland no less! They are just plain ugly on the offensive end of the floor. Truly painful to watch. (yeah, yeah, I KNOW the Spurs are playing great defense on them- but they haven't been able to shoot a lick for a three game span- and they actually didn't shoot that well against Detroit, either. In spite of the Spurs defense- they have still gotten plenty of open looks and nobody has stepped up and made them consistently.)

2) LeBron won't be able to control a series until he develops a consistent outside shot. It can be done- Magic came into the league with a very streaky outside shot and developed one over the first couple of years. It reamins to be seen if LeBron can do the same.

3) This has to be the most boring, unsuspenseful Finals I can remember.

Anyway- congrats again to the Spurs!

I think the humility lesson has already been learned during these first three games.

In a way I hope the Spurs destroy them, but knowing the Spurs they probably won't beat them too bad. Just enough to get the job done and come on home.
