Please change the title of this thread to:

"Manu just wiped away game 7 2006"

That is something he obviously really wanted, and with that 4th Q today he did it.

WHAT A BALLA, AND A CLUTCH MOFO HE IS.

MANU, we salute you. :toast

What made the end of the game even sweeter was that the three that win counted, but since Manu made all his clutch free throws it didn't matter. :lol

Clutcher than clutch!

He was awesome tonight

Very clutch down the stretch. VERY CLUTCH.

With this performance, he erased the egg he layed in game 3, and the game 7 foul from last year. It's over and done with.

Champion once again.

Manu running with that inbounds pass to drain the clock, was the Manu-esque play I liked the most. It reminded me of game 7 in 2005.

Those last few minutes, still diving for balls with 30 seconds left. This guy's is all heart.

I invited some friends at my house and spent bucks for the drinks and dinner so they can WITNESS the SWEEP. Then came the 3pter of LeBron. 3 pt game :cry. I panicked.

Then Manu took over. Duncan had a block. Then 3s, then Oberto.

The rest is history.

You just don't know how loud we were cheering for a win.

Manu I can't thank you enough for not disappointing me, and my friends and led the Spurs in the 4thQ.

You are my MVP of game 4. :worthy:

Props!!

I was laughing after that layup and 1.
I was laughing after that 3.
I was laughing agin after an impossible left-handed scoop layup.
I was laughing after the block/bogus 3 pt foul.
But I was laughing the hardest after Manu ran 3 seconds off the clock because Pavlovic lost track of his man.
Only one player can make me laugh so much in the span of 12 minutes.

Manu is the ultimate closer.

Your already forgetting last years playoff loss to Dallas where Manu did not come through in the clutch on two occasions both Spurs losses where he coughed up the ball and another loss where he took a wild uncontrolled shot and missed it.

That's nitpicking. With more and more successful deliveries, the less significant the misses are. Manu's makes up for it all the time.
This is equivalent to saying Horry isn't clutch, because he didn't make all his potential game tieing/winning shots. (i.e. the one against the Spurs)
Manu's proven time and time again, he's one of the best closers.

You don't neglect it when a player records 13-18 point fourth quarters in important games on a consistent basis. Both in regular season AND Playoff games.

Manu has been quite inconsistent in these playoffs but he has stepped up when Spurs needed him the most. What he did at the end of the Suns serie was awesome.

Congrats to Manu.

I think the look in that picture says it all about Manu. This guy is the ultimate competitor, if there ever was one. I know I wouldn't ever want to go up against him, in any sport.

He looks as though he is determined not to spend another 3 days in Cleveland.

I love Manu. I felt so bad for him last year when he fouled Dirk after he made that 3 to give the Spurs the lead.
When he fouled Damon Jones on that 3 pointer near the end I was like "NO!! What are you doing!" but the game was pretty much decided at that point. Still scary though, brought back bad memories for a second.

The best argument for Manu is the confidence Pop has in him to put the ball in his hands at the end of games. Not to mention his whirling dervish defense.

In those crucial minutes, he is THE CLOSER!

I remember during the fan celebration at the Dome in 2005. Manu promised everyone he "wouldn't leave this town until we won another Championship". So fitting that he was "the man" in the 4th quarter last night to insure that prophecy coming true.

I am actually suprised he hasn't put the asterisk on the title because of the Amare suspension.

Come on rascal, you know you want to say it. So get it over with. Spurs were lucky and only won the title because of a luck suspension/brain fart from Amare Stoudemire.

Everyone remember the foul Manu made last year, but they forgot it's who brought Spurs back from a 20 point half time. People always remember the loser, not the hero in the course.

But we Spurs fans always stand by Manu.
