Then why did he ask him again?

No. This was his 1st definitive answer.

Maybe the presence of Bob shooting for 8 in his final season will be enough to repeat. I cant picture Big Shot Bob going out anyway else than a winner!

No Scola then?

Scola was probably getting traded regardless of whether Horry came back or not.

You are really going to argue with me about something relating to Horry?

Horry says he wants to play another year

San Antonio Express-News, 5/19/07
by: Johnny Ludden

Robert Horry didn't think his 15-year NBA career was in danger of ending with his recent two-game suspension because he doesn't plan on it ending after this season.

After saying earlier in the season he was leaning toward retiring, Horry said Saturday he'd like to postpone those plans and return to the Spurs.

"I've already decided I'm coming back, hopefully," Horry said. "It all depends on what goes on here."

By that, Horry means it will be the Spurs' decision whether he returns. While he has one year remaining on his contract at $3.6 million, it is only partially guaranteed.

After a ragged regular season, Horry has again played well in the playoffs. He averaged 7.8 points and 3.6 rebounds in the first round against Denver and helped close out two of the games with clutch shots.

"I want to come back. Just leave it like that," Horry said. "I want to come back, but I have no guarantee I can come back here."

Rob never had any plan to retire this year. I never knew where people got that idea.

7 Championships in 15 years can't be wrong. Horry is the best guy off the bench in the league!

He said that two months ago.

That's what threw me off. "Two months ago".

San Antonio Express-News, 5/19/07 "I want to come back. Just leave it like that," Horry said. "I want to come back, but I have no guarantee I can come back here." That's two-'tree weeks ago. Plus last night he sounded like it was his call all the way if he wanted to come back.

Anywho it's all good. Title IV and Bob on board for another.

If Robert comes back next year, wins a championship, and retires then he will be .500 for his career for championships. He will have won a championship every other year hes played. 8 for 16. Wow...

He was talking last night about how he loves this team. Just the way the guys get along on and off the court. He said it was the best team he's ever been on and genuinely meant it.

It's not team. It's family.

When he retires we should get him some BS front office job like a "consultant" just so we can continue to see him lumber around the arenas.

I'm happy that Horry decided to play one more year.
"DNP - Old Age" Horry has shown in these playoffs that he was still a valuable player.
