Is it just me or did that game seem a lot more exciting than the ones we see these days?

I think I was at that game! My dad took me to it when a few months after we moved to San Antonio. One of the first Spurs games I ever went to. Good stuff. The Robinson years before Duncan came, we still had a really good team.

Bob Bass wow that was a fucking long time ago.

That was a pair of three-minute highlight videos.

Robinson dribbling down the court... that was impressive.

No, that was back in the Sean Elliott Taco Cabana Bean Burrito days: soft, pleasant, not much meat (apologies to the now-disgraced Kevin O'Keefe).

Hmm, maybe its the fuzziness of the video, he looked like a massive hoss out there

I think it's funny that the players were pleading for Popovich to be named coach as far back as 1992.

Maybe "sad" is more apt than "funny." If Popovich had been coach back then, David Robinson's legacy might be a lot different.

I thought he went to GS as an assistant for Nelson prior to the 1992 season.I didn't realize the players wanted Pop. Way to go RED. Actually, 1992 was the year the Spurs found their "savior", Jerry Tarkanian. Thank god that only lasted for 20 games.

Barkley wasn't there yet. Phoenix traded for him that offseason.

My own stupidity. 1991-92 was when Larry Brown was let go and Bob Bass took over (Pop left after that season). 1992-93 was the Jerry and Lucas show.
