So then, was it a lot more expensive than a typical Finals DVD if it was a box set?

I want the clinching 4th Qtrs like we got in the 2003 DVD, i was very annoyed they left that out of the 2005 special features. Seemed to be a alot of complaints about that so hopefully they put that back in the 2007 edition.

Because this is the fourth title, I would hope they would make the DVD even more extra special.

When is the DVD coming out? Does anyone know? Also they are also going to release the championship book as well, right? Anyone know the dates for these items?

Who are "they" who design the DVDs? Sports Illustrated?

Spurs ought to do their own DVD and sell it directly. Fuck hoping for some 3rd party to do it justice.

sports illustrated handles the book, so you'd have to check their website. for just the dvd, nba.com should say.

I want to see Horry hip check Nash, Bowen knee him in the nuts and all the other dirty plays made by the boring 2007 Spurs.

nba.com says it will be available to ship at the end of July.

We definitely should have the box set. And if they could do something with a look at all 4 championships that would be awesome.

The 2003 DVD was great with a good number of key 4th quarters. However, this year there were few 4th quarters that started out close.

I hope the dvd has a re-hash of the playoff run and a game by game account of the finals, you know the usual stuff. My biggest wish is for NFL FILMS to take over these dvd's and produce their award winning slo-mo dramatic highlights, and music that they're famous for! When you compare the drama in NBA highlight films to NFL's, the NFL is way ahead of the NBA!

the 2005 dvd does have the clinching quarter of game 7 on it. I watch it a lot.

pretty much all the NBA does is steal NFL Films music and show slo-mo NBA clips. Their needs to be NBA Films so they can come up with their own style.

Just the fact that they make a Championship DVD is enough for me. :)

I'd be surprised if they didn't do a boxed set like they did for the Heat. You're selling a dozen discs with almost completely pre-recorded/produced material for $80. Seems like a good margin to me.

The Pacers set is an interesting one. Many of the NBA's DVD boxed sets feature games from a team's Championship season, but the Pacers set is just a collection of the "greatest games" in team history.

The Pacers set is probably a "test" set so the NBA can gauge whether or not it's a set worth making for other teams.

By the way, I was being sarcastic. I love how the Spurs play. They are a living basketball clinic and seeing them play is pure joy most of the time for me.

I hope, & pray that they would release it on HD-DVD or Blu-Ray format for us HD freaks to truely enjoy. With either BR or HD-DVD you could fit all 4 Championship materials on 1 disc all in HD glory!

clinching 4th quarters that was missing in the 05 was a bummer. i wanted to see the 4th quarter of the sonics series and the suns.

i hope they do come out with a box set because they did that for the recent lakers 3peat. it would also be nice if they redid the 1999 championship in dvd format because noone owns VCRs anymore and the cassette is extremely hard to find.

I hope we get a new piece on Duncan. I know Parker will get a segment for the MVP, but they've recycled the same piece on Duncan for years already.
