At this point Beno is nothing more than a human victory cigar. He can't even get in 4th quarter garbage time. He only comes in for the last 2 minutes of a game we bagged in the first half when someone hits a 3 in GT and gets sent to the doghouse.

Ginobili was a +47 just in the Cavs series (:wow). I think he was fifth on the Spurs in plus/minus coming into the Finals but he ended with a bang.

Wow, he was +47 even with his goose egg game 3? Nice.

All I know is when Bowen was out, LeBron went to the hole easily. Even though he scored some on Bowen and maybe the team had some tough stretches with Bowen in there, I was worried when Bowen was out of the game. Once he was in the game and guarding LeBron, I felt safe again! There should be some statistic for that!

IMHO, Manu had a great +/- series in the finals against the Cavs basically because of Finley's sucking series of his own.

Manu is SA's "answer":p:

Statistcs in basketball can be so mind-boggling. I submit that the reason Bowen's +/- is bad, is because when the other team's premier scorer is in, Bowen is in; when the other team's top scorer sits, Bowen sits.

Another blow for the Barry > Finley argument.

Doesn't matter. That candle will be lit, blown out, and re-lit again and again this summer.
