Detroit president Joe Dumars suggests that Phoenix wants too much for Shawn Marion for the Pistons to be interested.
Phoenix is reported to be shopping the Matrix and Detroit is rumored to be one of the teams that's a possible destination. When asked by a local radio station about the rumors, Dumars suggested that the Suns would want "two of your starting players, the 15th and the 27th pick for that?" Dumars said, without acknowledging Marion by name. "You know what you would tell them? Hell, the Lakers didn't get that for Shaq (O'Neal). Philly didn't get that for (Allen) Iverson." Another rumor suggested Marion could be dealt for Rasheed Wallace straight up, something Detroit would probably be far more amenable to. Jun. 17 - 10:40 am et
