This from LaMarcus Aldridge:

"This is a bold thing to say, but I see it kind of like a Tim Duncan-David Robinson type thing. I see it like that. When it's all said and done, as I get better, as he gets better and we both learn the game and develop we can be like David Robinson and Tim Duncan where we can win championships and be dominant down low."

So is he the soft one or the boring one? That's fuckin' funny. What a douche.

If Aldridge was either Duncan or Robinson-like I would have been celebrating at least one UT Basketball NCAA Championship by now. They guy is a good role player, but not great.

I have my doubts about Oden. He's a solid help defender, but he may not be any better than Dwight Howard in the NBA. We'll see

Bosh and Bargnani have a greater chance than they do.

Very bold considering Aldridge didn't even put up half of the numbers TD did in his rookie season and Oden hasn't even stepped foot in an NBA game.

In what? The "snap like a twig cuz you're skinny and soft" competition?

Barring a freak injury to Oden (which is very possible considering how many injury problems he's already had at 18), the Blazers have at least 2 titles coming their way in the next 10 years.

Put either one in college with the Lineup UT sported for a couple of years and they would have.

Aldridge is good, but not great.
Oden can be great, but probably won't be.

We're talking Robinson and Duncan - two of the top 25 players to ever play the game IMO.

I dont care who it is, you cant guarentee championships for any team. Because really no one has any idea.

Oden might be the next Dwight Howard, but better. Alridge? Nah.. I see him as a bust. Roy is a very good triple-doubler, might be like Grant Hill, barring all the injuries.

I actually think Aldridge can be a very good player in this league. He's a finesse player, and I think he could be an awesome compliment to Oden down low
