Any of you Card fans have any idea who the Tigers could be getting back?

Any buzz? Any talk? Rumors?

Glad his ass is gone...let him throw home run balls elsewhere. 122 homeruns in 147 games. Has given up 15 this year after 79 innings.

Wow, didn't realize he was giving up gopher balls at that rate.
He's a heck of a person, but we're trying to win something big here.

Good move.

After the Ledezma trade a couple of days ago, Leyland told the reporters something to the affect that 'lots of action will be taking place soon, so stick around'.

Dombroski's a very good GM.

In other news, Kenny Rogers, in his first appearance of the year, is pitching shutout (1 hit) ball through 5 innings against the Braves. Smoltz is returning the favor against the Tigers allowing 2 hits and 0 runs.

What's the best Tiger forum besides the Detroit Tiger MLB one? Anybody have a recommendation?

No Idea who, but don't expect nothing special. Probably and A-Ball pitcher or something.

yeah someone like a Dennis Dove or Troy Cate more than likely.

So I don't pay attention to the Tigers.

You guys are hating on a 5-2 guy thats YOUNG, and a lefty?

What am I missing here.

I don't think the cardinals got Tom Seaver, but dang, young, lefty and 5-2.

:lol

Maroth's 10-4 over the last 2 years, and he'll move right in to the Cards starting rotation.
I'd think that would be worth someone more than an A-ball prospect.
Maybe the prospect and some stock in Anhueuser-Busch.

If it turns out to be a nobody in return, then count the trade as Leyland returning a favor for friend LaRussa. He owed him one for LaRussa not calling for an inspection of the substance on Kenny Roger's hand in last years WS.

He is the worst starter the Tigers can field at the moment. We have Rogers/Robertson/Miller as our lefty starters, and Verlander/Bonderman/Durbin as our righties.

Don't forget about Miller.

We have a better, younger, harder throwing lefty who is gonna be something special waiting to take over for him. Andrew Miller.

Cards are 8 games under, Carp/Mulder/Eck/Rolen are all injured/out, and just got a pitcher and are in the mix for Buehrle? Not quite sure if we should be buyin or sellin at this point.
