Are the rest of the Spurs fans still enjoying this championship as much as I am? It's so much fun to wear Spurs shirts (especially when you are close to Dallas!). What a season! This team came together so well and put together an incredible playoff run. Michael Finley got his title before Dirk or Mark Cuban. I love that! Phoenix fans are still crying! We endured Suns and Mavs fans talking trash during the regular season and just calmly said, "wait for the playoffs". Did we have doubts? Sure, but we all knew deep down that this team had the ability to win an NBA title, even if everybody else saw Phoenix and Dallas as unbeatable. The thrills this team has provided all season has been unforgettable. I just want to say THANK YOU SPURS for making this such an enjoyable NBA season!

I also wish to say a special thanks to the Golden State Warriors for pulling off the upset of Dallas. I still can't believe an 8 seed beat a 1 seed! I think I enjoyed that series as much as any NBA series I've ever seen!

THANKS SPURS ! Let's do it again next season!

When most you all come down from your schools out ,it's Saturday night and my parents are out of town sugar rush? go to the come clean topic, and tell all of ST what you said during the season about trading Tony Parker.

Oh me too this is 4 in 9 years 3 of the last 5 baby. Anything that they do from now on is total gravy. Everyone is buzzing right now over the trade rumors in the west big deal. Nobody can take the Spurs place in history away from them regardless of what happens from here out.

The 1999 Spurs NBA Championship was the best day in the history of a any Spurs fans life! And if anyone ever tells you anything different? They don't know what being a Spurs fan Really means. And you need to distance yourself from them.

The GIF above has been circling the www for the past 5 weeks, many people, a few at SR, and other sites have claimed to have either created it, or found it first. All I know is, if you play certain music to i? it comes alive. I am working on a music/video montage of the GIF as we speak. I see 3 songs that would go well with the GIF.

what songs would you have for the GIF above? :wakeup

And yet today Spur fans still turn their backs on Avery Johnson, a man who put a ring on coach Pop's finger after this town went 25 years!

Face it it was all .............................

This one still feels different.

can't put my finger on it.

The whole thing just seemed, I dunno, not as exciting as the 05 and 03 and 99 ones.

No one is turning their back on Avery. He's like a much-loved son who went to prison or something! You still love him and wait for him to come to his senses and come back to the family! Avery will be Pop's replacement some day when Pop decides to hang it up!

I agree. I'm not sure what it is either.

I'm thrilled of course but something is different about this one. (And I don't mean tainted or any of that other bs.)

Maybe because it was won on the road and you really don't get the release of the home win. Or, as much shit as spurfans put on team in this forum. Deep down MOST of us know that this IS the best spur team to date, and so we are not truely surprise.

Next year should be the best year ever the the boys. We all will feel the feelin no matter what. Will the drama in the forum end? Nope :depressed, better here than on the bench. But I would ask that everyone PLEASE KEEP YOUR MONSTER ON A LEASH. We all should be use to how the spurs go thru the season. Being critical at times is understandable. No need to be an asshat about it. T Park, you have reform quite well from years past :lol :clap

It's because were all ready getting used to it. It feels great to win another championship though. I believe the Spurs have 2 more left in them. They could end up with 5 to 7 rings total. And that would be unreal to any Spurs fan! Who would have thought it back in the 80's and 90's?

Could be all the drama the Spurs went through this year being called dirty, cheaters, basically hated. I think it makes it all the sweeter because we know that is not the case. Spurs are no longer choir boys but they are not mean spirited people either.

I still don't know.

It's not the drama, '05 was much harder with Duncan's ankles. And the 7 game Piston's series was hard, the Cavs were nothing.

I'm certainly not getting used to it, it's their fourth but it's an intense feeling to be the last team standing.

Something's different. Almost surreal.

Maybe it was the sweep. If the series had been somewhat competive maybe it would have felt different.

Maybe it's because it was:

Nuggets......5 and done
Suns..........6 and done
Jazz...........5 and done
Cavs..........4 and done

Only series that may have been in doubt early on was the Suns. Other than that it was just kick back and watch the Spurs TCOB.

No thrilling, down to the last second Game 7s.

Almost a letdown playoff season after '05.

Somehow you just knew everytime another series started, there would be little in the way of stopping the Spurs.

Yup...I guess I'm just used to the Spurs winning it all...I just expect them to win.

I agree, the 1999 Championship is still the sweetest because it was their first...that Game 5 against the Knicks went down to the wire, and it's still my favorite Spurs game of all time.

It was anti-climactic compared to the other 3. Neither the Jazz nor the Cavs offered much resistance.

The Sprewell-Duncan shootout was a great playoff-finals moment ; glad I witnessed that...
