I just got back from getting my first tattoo EVER and I thought I would share. I was so freaking nervous, but I had to do it....do something that no one would ever expect me to go through with. It didn't hurt too bad, just when he got near my the bone of my ankle, that hurt like a bitch but otherwise it felt like when an ant stings you. I'm really happy with it. The artist, Colin, at Platinum was a real nice guy and very humorous too, not to advertise for him or anything, but I'd recommend him to anyone who wants to get their first one.

That's awesome Mandy!

I saw a really cool tattoo on television yesterday. This girl had about six mini stars in a slightly staggered vertical design. I wish I had a picture of it.

I liked it because if you wore your hair in a pony tail, like at the beach or a party, people could see the tattoo.
But if you were at work and wanted to cover it up, it was small and so easy to do.
Also I like stars.

Granted, I dislike needles and pain so much, I don't see myself ever getting a tattoo.

One of my friends that I went with yesterday got one on her neck too (some chinese symbol) and that's exactly why she got it there. So if she wanted it covered she could just put her hair down.

Thanks for the support everyone! I'll need it when my mother finally sees it :lol

All you need is the 666 on the other ankle now. It will be a perfect compliment.

I went to platinum to get a piercing and it was great there! Can I ask how much it was for that? I want to go back and get a tattoo about that size. That's a cute tat! :)

It's more because my dogs woke me up at 7:30 a.m. And considering I got to sleep at 4 a.m., it threw me off my sleep.

You shoulda got a tattoo of a title of a Steven Segal movie.

Under Seige 2 woulda been appropriate in this case.

Very cute Mandy! I've been pondering it for ages but never got up the nerve to actually get one. Bravo to you!

Oh, that's cute! Neat placement too! I am definitely 'into' tattoos now. I only have 2, but I'd love to have more. The pain isn't that bad - the thing that hurt the most with my ankle band was the swelling later that night (and then it just throbbed for a couple hours). Kind of like a bee sting - there, painful, then gone. I won't get more for awhile, because I need to be able to hide them for work (for the most part).

Bravo you for doing something you wanted to do!
