Just said it on ESPN, the Blazers already notified Oden that he will indeed be the #1 pick in tomorrows draft. Just thought I'd post it.

It's the right move to make. Durant will be fun to watch but like Duncan and Shaq he will be the franchise man capable of bringing home rings.

Why they are not trading the number 1 pick, Oden is seen as a goldmine for years to come. The only reason to keep it quiet is if they are fielding offers to give up the pick and you know that is not happening.

he does smile because right before that, Phoenix traded the #24 to San Antonio for the 28 and 33. :)
