probably parker, PG's

Man, the Spurs get off to a great start and then they start letting Nocioni and others get into the paint way too much to close out the quarter.

Pop will deal with that, I'm sure.

6 rebounds for rasho

JUUOT
12-06-2004, 09:26 PM
but Rasho and Tim do not seem to be in the game. Two consecutive offensive rebound and two missed shots for rasho ? and tim 0 out of 3 attempts. count on tim too wake up in the third

3-4 from downtown for tp

JUUOT
12-06-2004, 09:40 PM
Parker is starting to earn his contract! he is carrying the team in the first half! 13 points on 5/6 whereas the team is shooting less than 40%. 3 assistats and 3/4 behind the arc with a nice buzzer shot to close the half.

On the negative point rasho and tim are a combined 2/14 shots.

overall the team is not playing great. But against a poor chicago team it means 9 points at the half...

12-06-2004, 09:41 PM
spurs suck, TD did not score in 1st qtr, barry still sucks, everybdoy blowing entry passes to posts, yuck. Tim putting the ball on the floor, falling down, two Bulls on top of him, laughable. nice warm-up for SEA

JUUOT
12-06-2004, 09:41 PM
I feel bad the only block we get for the half came from horry...that tell much about the game...

JUUOT

I agree boutons it looks like a warm up.

timvp
12-06-2004, 09:42 PM
Brent Barry is making Charlie Ward's defense seem awesome. Why is Pop going to him first when Devin is outplaying him so badly?

timvp
12-06-2004, 09:46 PM
Rasho's 1-for-8 first half didn't help too much, either.

JUUOT
12-06-2004, 09:46 PM
because we need barry for the play off and the solution is not to hide him in the locker room. a warm up against chicago is actually a good game to give him playing time.

Solid D

If the Spurs make the adjustments at halftime that they have been making during this streak, the Spurs should have a big 3rd quarter. We'll see how they respond.

Parker and Brent in the backcourt. Bruce, Malik and Massenburg frontcourt. Mass is giving the Spurs some inside toughness but poor penetration protection the last two trips. Barry heating up a bit.

Solid D

Heinrich tries an awkward, well-defended underhand scoop, Manu has great position for rebound and Heinrich over the back with 3 sec. left. Dumb foul. 2 FTS gives Spurs a nice 15 point cushion at the end of the 3rd. Manu steals inbound but doesn't shoot jumper, he tries to take it to the cup and he charges Griffin. Good finish, though.

gino 5 to but spurs up to 15 margin at the ned of third quarter.
Parker putting the game on his shoulder. Ithink J. Kidd coming back tonight pushed him lol, he does not want to be traded lol. barry geting less worst.

Could it be that he will be a consistent scorer off the bench?

JUUOT
12-06-2004, 11:03 PM
yes barry and brown cumulated for 8/14 field goals 4/7 3's 8 rebounds and 21 points. Devin is showing a consistency we did not know he was ableto bring to the table and appraently his work on the three points is paying of but barry is starting contributing again. what a nice back up backcourt if you add beno. you could rest tp manu and bowen at the same time with no worry.

Way too many turnovers.

One person who needs to settle down just a tad in that department is Manu. I don't want him to become reserved, but he needs to get some sense of control. In the last few games, he's averaging around five/game, I think.

How did beno play? Personally i would like him to get higher scores, but for team i guess its better that he keeps passing. Yesterday i watched sa-dallas game and i noticed that beno and devin are playing terrific when they are together on the court, beno is like typical euro PG with his game and devin is incredibly athletic guy, who is able to penetrate to the basket with ease. I wonder how would beno-parker matchup work?
Congrats on W vs bulls
