The following bit of crazyness was reported in Dime Magazine Online:

Allan Houston is reportedly thinking about a comeback. From what we’re hearing, H20 is willing to take a minimum deal — after all, he’s pulled in about $40 million over the last two years for not playing one second — and his knees feel better. If Houston really is healthy, doesn’t he seem destined for the Spurs? …

Pure rumour. If Houston showed up outside Buford's office, and I was making the decisions, I wouldn't go for it. Would You?

vet min?-what's wrong with taking that risk....he probably hasn't lost his shot and just more veteran leadership and I think I remember Pop looking into signing him a while back

for one thing, roster spots may be at a premium next season. we're already looking at a situation where we may have to choose between White & the #33 draft pick.

Houston was pretty one dimensional when he last played, and after two years out of the game, you can't say that he 'probably hasn't lost his shot.', because it's very very possible that he has.

And even if his legs are completely healthy and his jumper is there, he offers nothing that you don't get from Finley and Barry.

Houston used to be a really good player. But i would be shocked if he still had his shot.

Houston is not all that old, he came into the league about the same time Iverson did, so that would make him about a 10 year vet but if you consider his time off he is probably a 8 year vet. I would put him through a good workout and physical and if booth looked good I would sign him.

Barry and Finley already fulfill the "shooter with no defense" role so Houston's not an option. I think the Nuggets should work him out and see if he can make the cut. They desperately need a perimeter shooter to come off the bench.

If you traded Brent Barry and Beno Udrih, sure.

I agree. You can't even think about that until you free up two roster spots, and I'd rather replace Elson or Beno than Barry.

I remember that guy was pretty good when he played for the Volunteers. Not sure what happened to him after that.
