Pop is up for coach of the year.
Duncan is up for NBA player of the year.
Spurs are up for team of the year...or best championship team.

I personally think the ESPYS suck...but I gotta admit, it would be funny to see Pop, Duncan and the Spurs win their categories. Especially Pop. But also since ESPN treats the Spurs like a bastard child on Father's Day. Let's do this ;)

I might even try to watch that lousy show for the first time in about 10 years just to see Pop win.

Well they certainly should be, considering I voted for them about a million times myself. :spin

I hope he does. I think it would be funny.... Of course, only the five people who actually watch the ESPYs would get to enjoy it.

Those awards have always been a joke. In every category. I mean seriously, they had to add LeBroom, otherwise they'd be admitting they backed the wrong horse! :lol There was one year where they had Ronaldinho running against Donovan for soccer player of the year... I mean, I know people here don't really pay attention to soccer, but COME ON! Donovan??

damnit, spurs up against the florida gators basketball championship team, the florida gators football championship team, and the colts superbowl team. with how low the spurs finals ratings were, i seriously doubt the spurs win the best championship team.

and how is lebron up for best "championship" performance when all of his accolades that they show are in the playoffs? they should have bruce bowen in there for shutting down lebronze.

How did you vote more than once? The computers I used wouldn't let me, so I "stole" other people's votes.

LeBron is pretty funny, and he seems comfortable in front of the camera. He's a logical choice for co-host.

:lol

The best one was in 2004 "How many hall of famers does it take to screw in a light bulb? One more than the lakers had"

Everyones dying laughing, and they show Derrick Fisher sitting there just GLARING at Jamie :lol

Mr.Bottomtooth
07-03-2007, 01:26 PM
Yea. Fisher and Payton had a stick up their ass that night.

Then he said something like, "I mean I love the Lakers but how many allstars do y'all want on your team? You got Shaq, Kobe. You got Malone and Payton. I mean who were you gonna get next? Jesus?

:lmao

THAT WAS CLASSIC

I REMEMBER THAT

:lmao

Payton was pissed too, he wasn't laughing.. That was tv greatness

Mr.Bottomtooth

I liked when they made fun of Payton's defense in the Finals. Something like "You're supposed to be the glove. I guess you had a hole in the son-of-a-bitch, huh?"
And the KG thing was hilarious too. When he was rapping about KG to the beat of P.I.M.P.

I don't what you heard 'bout KG.
But he's the NBA MVP.
Say what you want 'bout Shaq and Kobe.
And in the dark you cannot see...
Him.

Speaking of Jamie Foxx. What a talented dude. A great actor, a great comedian, a great singer. Closest thing to a contemporary renaissance man I've seen.
