With Allen on board him along with Pierce and Jefferson will be a great trio. With how weak the east is this team will be dangerous but will they win the east but if not how far will they go?

Possibly...hopefully the veteran presence will be calming enough to get them thru more than one round which I think they will, but they have very little depth at the 4-5. That's still okay, so I say it's POSSIBLE...not PROBABLE, but possible.

Not with Doc Rivers as their coach.

The Celtics will win maybe 35 games tops now that Allen is on board.

Fuck, it's not like the Celtics picked up Shaq or anything. The Sonics couldn't do much with a duo of Lewis and Allen amid younger players. What makes anyone think it's gonna be different in Boston?

And try to be more creative than just the usual "well, they're in a weaker conference". I don't think it will matter.

Oh, Gee!!

Because Pierce is certainly better than Lewis and Jefferson is 10 times better than anything else the Sonics had on that roster. They are also in the east for a start.

Both Pierce and Allen averaged 26PPG last season, Jefferson meanwhile gave them 17 and 11. No reason why they can't go really far. They still have the MLE and I guess If they get the right guy will be in even better shape.

If Al Jefferson continues his development, and Allen meshes well with the team, and they can get going early in the reg season, i can see them challenging for northeast div title.

The East is wide open. All you have to do is suck less than the other 14 teams.

I just can't see the addition of Ray Allen improving this team to at least 20 more wins over last season.

He and Pierce play the same position. Jefferson has to prove he can stay healthy for a full season, and the young guys just don't seem to be meshing as well as Ainge had hoped.

Pierce will play the three and Allen will be at the two.

No point guard, no center. Rajon Rondo? Theo Ratliff? Unless one more major move, I don't think they even make the playoffs next year.

Not so sure the Celttics even make the playoffs.
