Milwaukee will hopefully continue its slide and let Chicago creep into First place shortly after the All-Star Break. But either way, with the uneven schedule in the second half, it won't surprise me to see the Central take the WC.

And just to make sure it's mentioned, the Cubs are 11-2 in their last 13 games including sweeps against the White Sox and Rockies and series victories against Milwaukee and Washington. Baseball is fun when you're above .500!!! :smokin

They better put the Cards away now. Carpenter and Mulder come back end of month, Pujols is in the worst slump of his life, Rolen and Eckstein on the DL...

Cards havent been 4 games under but twice all season and last time was over a month ago. I'm not ready to call them back in it yet, but at this point they haven't really been out of it yet either.

Lilly is pitching WAY over his head, and in the second half will come back to the pack.

If Carpenter came back healthy, that will help them drasticly.

The Cardinals though need eckstein and Edmonds to come back and contribute, the offense is just horrid right now.....



Right now the Brew crew is in the driver seat, BUT, they seem to be stumbling a bit AND, Bill Hall getting hurt, and they are also due for their share of injuries...

trade qualls, wheeler, jennings for prospects. bring up patton from AAA, give some other young guys a shot.

Troy will prob get called up, but will be a bullpen guy. Man after all we traded for Jennings, if only stupid taylor hadn't messed it up, we could have had Garland right now.
