Just looking at their roster
Jack/Rodriguez
Roy/Webster
Outlaw/James Jones/Udoka
Aldridge/Frye
Oden/Pryzbilla
Lets not forget them drafting Josh Mcroberts and Rudy Fernandez
I think this team can contend for a playoff spot straight away but come 3 or 4 years time will be dominating this league if they keep the pieces togeather.

WRONG. The common denominator in all playoff teams is a strong veteran presence. Where is it? No where yet.

They're not going to have the money to stay two-deep at every position when those guys are off their rookie contracts. Still, this team is well on its way.

Chug is right about a need for veterans...
But, I will say that the young group they have assembled seems to be very coachable and should develop that "veteran" savvy fairly quicker than some others.
So, while I think they'll go through their ups and downs over the next couple year, I do agree with Game that they will be a perennial playoff team within the next 5 years.

Two words: Paul Allen.
I don't know if they will, but if they want to, they can spend a fortune retaining those guys.

Great young talent. We'll have to wait to see if a superstar emerges, but in todays NBA, they won't be able to keep all those guys once their rookie contracts are up.

This reminds me of the Bulls of 2 years ago, only with even better talent.
But any team with a dominant big man like Oden will be at least competitive. Oden is at best the next Russell, at worst the next Ewing, and most likely the next Robinson. That's pretty good company.
