Re: Where does the win streak end: Can we beat Seattle?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs' streak ends here:

Wed 22 at Orlando

They will have Minn the next night in SA, so they will be looking ahead to that game and Orlando will jump on them in an upset to end their 14 game win streak..

I'm going to say @ NO...It seems like winning streaks always end when you least expect them to end...and that's definitely the game I would least expect our winning streak to end. At least Smitty's not there this season...

I think Jim's is a good bet as well. If he hadn't picked that game I probably would have...it seems like we always struggle and barely win close games in Orlando...then again, the Rockets now look a lot like Orlando used to...so the Rockets would be a good pick as well.

When they lose.

That was brilliant, honey. :rolleyes :lol

whottt has a point, that always seems to be the case....although I'd probably say like Cleveland or Golden State.

They sure as hell better win against Phoenix, though. :devil :angel

I can guarantee the streak will end sometime in June at the latest.

As of now I would say the Dec. 22nd game @ Orlando. I wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs F around and lose on Thursday night though.

I think Cleveland will do well against us, I'm also a little leary of Orlando.

Cavs are good, but not good enough to win on the road, the mark of a truly good team. Of course, if LeBron is out of his head for 40 pts, not much anybody can do, home or road. Remember what he did to Spurs @CLE last season.

Same with Magic.

I figure the streak will be broken on the road, not at SBC, even with the top teams that are coming to SBC in Dec.

78 - 4, and our only loss will be to the bobcats, when steve smith records the next quadruple double in NBA history w/50 pts, 20 rebs, 15 ast, and 11 blks, capped off by a freethrow line dunk to win at the buzzer

you have to be kidding me
40 points from james with bowen on him?

how many shots will he have to shot?

i think lebron might do well on Bowen even though Bowen is one of the best perimeter defenders.

How many shots will he shoot?
That won't matter, probably 50% of the Cavs shots, Lebrob IS the Cav's offense.

bowen got burned the first time
shut him down the second time

now round three is comming up

if james shoots a bad % bowen will do his job even if he scores 50

i think the streak will end vs. Seattle and then the whole basketball world will be all over the story, (oh my god the Sonics are the best team in the NBA)

Cocky?

No need to go that far (Orlando Game)

The streak ends either tomorrow or Thursday.

The Spurs are USUALLY MEAN in the month of December, they had recorded winning streaks on this month(TD had been voted best player on this month, too), so shall I say January, but not this month. Minny is the only playoff team who could possibly beat the Spurs in that line-up(if Duncan allows it), but Minny has a look of an unhappy team(Spree), & they are NOT playing ball right now. It seems KG is more concern of his stats(copy TD's 2-consecutive MVPs?), than winning his team. But the Spurs lost to non-playoff teams of last yr-Sonics & Toronto, who knows? Let's see.

Hey LakerGod,

How are those top record holding (16-1 I believe), high scoring (league leading I believe), Lakers doing that you bragged about in preseason?

Just wondering.

They'll probably drop one out of Orlando and Minnesota ... that's the toughest back-to-back so far ...
and I say this only because the Spurs don't look iron-clad night in night out ... probably cuz they're off to a great start this season
