After watching this Jackie Butler really doesn't impress me...he's really lazy even on his screens he doesn't seem motivated at all out there. He's also prone to foul trouble, and out of shape and slow.

You watched the game in ten minutes? :lol

BTW, Butler sucked early on but later in the game he was perhaps the most dominant player on the court. If he would have made his three dunks, he would have had a big line.

Yea when I wrote that he had just come out of the game for picking up his 2nd foul....I'll have to keep watching to see the rest.

:lol It was really sloppy. Biggest thing I noticed is that Butler has potential but still needs ALOT of polishing. I also question his basketball IQ, he picked up some really silly fouls. On the other hand he's really powerful, sort of reminds me of a poor man's Zach Randolph, without the charges.

What an ugly shot by White, followed by "oo, goddamn". That made me laugh. :lol

Just curious, what are Spur fans expectations for Butler?

Just curious, what are Spur fans expectations for Butler?Whatever he does is gravy. The Spurs have like 25 other options at power forward and center if he doesn't pan out.

I think he could turn into a solid double double guy with the right guidance and coaching, but maybe that's a long shot. I'm no expert on Spurs prospects :lol .

He's still younger than a number of players in the 2007 draft. The question is whether the Spurs wait out the growing pains or if they'd rather go with a more finished product.

They should definately wait out the growing pains. Even right now he can't be that much of a downgrade over Elson, who I don't think is getting any better.

Yeah. I was watching it on NBA.com and just couldn't put up with more than a few minutes. Butler and White are scrubs that'll probably have no impact on the team next year IMO.

Ouch. That was as painful as watching 6, 50 year old white guys playing 3 on 3 at the gym...

So are you saying he missed 3 dunks and you believe he still doesn't suck???

Just a question.

are you going to post a link to game 2, because I was at a 7/07/07 party and wasn't able to watch the game, plus Sanikidze played and he is the one I am most interested in watching

I think can you watch it by going to nba.com and find summer league. In there I think has an archive section with last nights game
