blame fan voting. if either victor martinez or jorge posada had gotten voted in instead of pudge, johjima might have had a shot.

Sheffield should have started over Ramirez as well.
Curious to see who Leyland decides to start in the ASG. I don't think he can go wrong with whoever he decides to go with.

first, manny's a reserve, not a starter
second, manny's only warming the spot up for sheffield. its very likely he'll pull out of the ASG like last year
third, the starter has to be either haren or lackey. anyone else is beyond me

I think I'd go Santana. Haren deserves the nod, but with the ASG determining HFA, I'd go with the best pitcher in baseball the last few years who is coming off 8 days rest.
BTW, Pedroia looks like a stud in the making. Guy has great range...
