Fresh tomato, cilantro, serrano chili, some onion and garlic. Throw into a food processor or blend lightly.

If that doesnt work the fresh HEB salsa is pretty good. :)
Don't get the canned stuff, the fresh is in the refrigerated section of the fruits and vegetable dept.

The HEB salsa is ok, but it's not great.

Why don't you try to make a pico de gallo?

Basically the same ingredients Flea wrote, except with no garlic.

Just dice one onion, 4 serrano chiles, and about two or three tomatos.

I love that stuff.

Ok here is what I do. Proven recipe that I use almost weekly.

2 white onions
3 tomatoes
3 tomatillos
2 Serrano peppers
4 cloves of garlic
Huge chunk of Cilantro
Garlic Salt
Celery Salt
Regular sea salt or kosher salt to taste at the end
Fresh ground pepper
Splash of green olive juice
4 or so tablespoons of pickle juice
Juice from 3 to 4 limes
very small amount of cumin
very small amount of paprika

Cover and set in fridge at least 2 hours before serving

if you want to serve this with barbacoa or breakfast you can roast the veggies first.

I just use a can of tomatos, half a white onion, 2 cloves of garlic, 3 fresh jalapenos and 1 habanero. I like my shit hot.

4 or 5 medium tomatoes
1 large onion
2 jalapenos

Rough chop it, put it into a food processor, add salt and garlic powder, let it sit in the fridge overnight.

I don't like chunky sauce. I like my sauce smooth.

I only use green onions and I put a teaspoon of beer and 1/2 a lime.

I like fresh salsa, not too chunky, but not sauce-smooth either. Gotta have just the right touch with the food processor to get it perfect.
