3 years, $21 million?

I thought he was supposed to be looking for $9-10 mil per year?

Well, for a guy with Darko's resume, $7 million a year is a lot, but by the Rashard Lewis standard, it's a bargain.

Milicic was traded to the Magic in February of 2006 and began to turn around his career. He averaged eight points and 5.5 rebounds in 23 minutes per game for the Magic last season. But he upped his average to 12.3 points per game in the playoffs this year.

Milicic should address the Grizzlies' biggest offseason need -- adding a center to play with Pau Gasol. His game appears to complement Iavaroni's up-tempo system.

another version of the twin-towers huh:D.

Memphis became one, if not the best season defensive teams in 2004 who knows if adding big man Darko they can re-elevate their team again, defensively. I was thinking last yr they could have grabbed the #1 pick over-all or Boston being in the bottom of the W-L & when Gasol got injured after the World Championships. Thanks God they didn't.

don't believe there were too many teams that far under the salary cap for that to ever be a realistic figure for Darko ... but his agent had to start somewwhere and in the art of negotiation, you either start way high or way low

Darko rots. All he has is some size. Too slow in his reaction time to ever be a big time nba player.

if you are not big time you suck?

He sucks for his draft position and what was expected from him. A big time bust.

Good match for Gasol who really doesn't want to play inside that much. The West gets toughter.
