He's really dropped off the NBA map. A few seasons back he had played consistently well and seemed on the verge of a breakout, but never really put it together and bounced around the league. Last season he had injuries and a short rotation to contend with. The Spurs had some interest in him early in his career.

I doubt the Spurs will take a look at him.

I was interested in Enron stock a few years ago.

If Spurs have a roster spot for him, I would like to sign him for the min.

And signing a player like Jumaine Jones could solve the Butler dilemma (finding playtime for him). A "Jumaine Jones like" player will allow Spurs to dump Elson somewhere.
Offseason plan :
- Trade Elson for a trade exception +2nd round pick to a team like GS.
- Trade Beno if you find a taker.
- Sign Jumaine Jones for the min.
- Sign Mahinmi.
Spurs 07/08 active roster :
PG : Parker/Vaughn
SG : Finley/Ginobili/Barry
SF : Bowen/Jones
PF : Oberto/Horry/Bonner
C: Duncan/Butler
IL : third string PG, Williams or White, Mahinmi.

I still can't belive we took Mahimmi over David Lee in the draft. Unbelievable, really.

They could have had both...

He could be an interesting reclamation project. During his best seasons he was a solid rebounding 3 man with a good outside shot. Only 28.
