Before the Duncan for Rafer Alston trade is finalized.

Don't forget about the 1999 3rd round draft pick that will come back to SA with Alston.

We joked when Presti got hired that the Spurs should offer Sergei Karaulov for Earl Watson. We joked when Ferry got hired that the Spurs should offer Beno Udrih for Anderson Varajao.

When Lindsey got hired, a Rockets fan joked that the Rockets should trade a second round pick for Scola.

i think you are all overreacting.

So what youre saying is the spurs signed over 2 heads for spanoulis, who doesnt want to come to the USA?

Don't jump the gun. there is SURELY more to this than we know right now.

my guess is the spurs have an agreement already with spanoulis before the trade was done

all will be revealed...........

Check out timvp's posts in the main trade thread. He's correct: the trade gives no advantage in any way other than fattening Holt's wallet. Other easily made trades would have cleared the same money without making a rival tons better.

There's no doubt at this point. From Presti to Lindsey this summer was like replacing Abraham Lincoln with George W. Bush.

At least for appearances, you'd think he'd not be stupid enough to make this his first ever move!

Lincon was about as popular, if not less than Bush, during the Civil War. Circa 2008, there is now a monument dedicated to his honor. Often we (including myself) make judgements purely from what we see in front of our faces, instead of simply having faith. :toast

I'll pretend you weren't just defending Bush somewhere in there. By the way, during the Civil War half the country were traitors and pro-slavery racists.

It starts to become clear exactly why the Rockets made so many stupid player moves in recent years.

Exactly. That is what is really starting to scare me. You get these hotshots who think they're the shit but can't realize its crack fumes that are funnelling up their noses, and make ridiculous moves that make internet legions wonder how they even got hired in the first place and when it comes down to it the future of our front office moves seems dubious to say the least.

I'm seeing barren days ahead once Duncan retires. 40 years in the desert kind of thing.

Actually there was much dissatisfaction on the Union side, in part to a significant minority who did not want to fight, but rather let the Confederacy part from the Union. Really, slavery was only part of the issue, the greater issue being taxes and tariffs, not to mention the constant "TUG O WAR" between State and Federal Rights.

I'll defend whom I please, whether that be George Bush or Bill Clinton. I have no political affliation. Personally, I'm more than content sitting back, waiting for the moment this nation comes to realize that the PEOPLE make up this GOVERNMENT. But, unfortunately for that to occur, people would have to inform themselves with a diversity of opinions and be willing to take in all considerations, which neither side is doing at this point.

You can't be serious. You're saying an American who believes in the political tradition of FDR, JFK, & LBJ is more evil than a slave owner? Political loyalties aside, if you really think that, you've sadly lost your way. Whether you are a conservative who dislikes liberalism, a liberal who dislikes conservatism, or any of the many shades or variations in between, if your anger towards the other side is so great that you can believe such a thing, then you have a very strange view of the world. Do you feel the same way about Tony Blair? Because he, after all, is a liberal too.
